As with life outside the internet, you take a chance.

Yeah. It's really pretty basic. You talk to them until they ask for money, and then say "no."

It's also wise to use one of the Reverse Image Lookup aps, before even bothering to open the mail messages. Most of the scambots here are run by such lunkheads, that they use obvious stolen images as bait.

Yup. It's generally the bottom feeders of society that tend to resort to this crap.

Use the good old MGTOW technique of playing Poor.
you have your house, your job and your life in order, but refuse to talk about your financial situation.

Listen
If she talks about money - especially not having any...
Walk away.
If she is 30 and drops hints about student loans...
walk away.
If she is 50 and talks about her babydaddy refusing to pay child support...
walk away.

Read and aquire info.
read their profiles. if you see a woman who likes to go on vacation, she likes "to be taken" on vacation. If she likes to go to restaurants, vacation, is looking for a man "to treat her right" and such...
those are what you call "red flags"

go from virtual to real
if a woman is genuinely interested in you, meet up.
In fact, money should be no subject at all until you have met her a dozen times.

If any money talk comes up during the first 3 months after meeting a person
Walk away.

And have your D.... your Passion under control to actually WALK AWAY.
[how to do that, is to follow Bill Burrs advice to, err.... "rub one out" i believe he said.]
think with the Big head.
shut the Small head up.

Simplez.

Good advice, shame I didn't see this before I married the last time, she left when I wanted to put her on a budget. Wonder how I can get her new live in boyfriend to read the signs before she takes him to the cleaner. Poor sucker.

Chasing skirts, and learning lessons from the Past.
I failed at the first, because i succeeded at the second.
so i am back looking for a smart woman that likes to dance the dance.

I know one, but damn she is from frickin Anchorage, and she already has a tango partner.

Life sucks.

I disagree your expectations of women are too simplistic Why would you consider someone far away no matter how attractive? Why dont you accept that you might meet more than 100 women to find and share a match!! Its a numbers game and if you arent willing to step up you end up settling for less and that is not healthy or ultimately satisfactory...

Life never sucks might be a bit grey at times but never sucks there is always something to be thankful for.flowerforyou

OP... It is a numbers game out here all you can do is be careful, keep your wallet closed. To anyone that even hints at money.

Then report and block them.

Good luck out here

@Guy

Life is complex, i think we can accept that.

However - the subject is to detect women that want money, women that are gold diggers, women that want to trap the average user in any way.
and that, my friend, is simple.
and i like to follow simple advice - it has kept me out of complicated situations.

Oh, me looking at someone far away, more than at 100 women and all that,
that was just my personal wink at SitkaRains.
I do not "consider" her.
I only admire her, from what... 10,000 miles away?
and she is too young for me anyway.

*does not blush*
