Something amazing happened on Tuesday that no one took notice of at the time. Presidential hopeful Donald Trump’s private 727 took off from Los Angeles and landed in New York City, much as it has for years. But this time one thing was different.
While Trump wasn't on board, three other passengers were 3-year-old Andrew Ten and his parents. What led to this trip is a story that’s both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Andrew is struggling with a breathing condition that doctors in California have not yet been able to identify. Wanting the best care available for their son, the Tens decided to fly east and meet with doctors in New York. Remarkably, however, commercial airlines refused the family due to the oxygen tank, suction machine, adrenaline syringe, and other medical equipment Andrew needed to endure the flight. Running out of ideas, the Tens decided to try a one in a million shot. They reached out to aides to Donald Trump and asked for his help. Once briefed by his people, the billionaire, real estate tycoon jumped into action immediately, offering to make his luxurious private jet available to help the Tens in their hour of need. Andrew’s father, Harold Ten, said “Mr. Trump did not hesitate when we called him up. He said ‘yes, I’ll send my plane out.’” When reporters asked why the Tens thought Trump went to the expense of making his jet available to them, Harold replied, “Because he is a good man. He has three children of his own, and he knows what being a parent is all about.” Say what you will about Donald Trump’s bluster, occasional rudeness, and brutal sense of competition, it’s clear the man has a heart that’s made of gold http://toprightnews.com/wow-airlines-refuse-to-fly-critically-ill-3-year-old-to-doctors-so-parents-call-trump/ |

a heart that mysteriously shows up during his presidential run,,,,, Clearly you don't know anything about Donald Trump. He has been doing this kind of thing for over thirty years now starting with paying off a little old ladies mortgage (out of his pocket) after her husband died and she couldn't afford to keep the house or property and he just bought it for her and gave it to her and there's all the times he has single handedly saved veteran parades and donated to veterans groups across the country! |

Trump Does Something Amazing!
Trump let a kid fly to new york on his plane. ...How is that amazing? I remember watching "Amazing Stories" the t.v. show as a kid, and I think one of the stories was a b-52 that lost its landing gear and one of the crew drew a cartoon that came to life allowing it to safely land and saved everyone. That would be Amazing. Like if the plane magically came to life and healed the kid. But Trump basically let someone use his car. That's Uber jet edition at best. I could see "Trump does something charitable!" or "Trump helps sick kid!" or "Trump isn't the complete a-hole his opponents would have you believe!" But "amazing!?" starting with paying off a little old ladies mortgage
I don't believe that's true. I can't find anything about that except an urban legend about him paying off a samaritan couples mortgage. there's all the times he has single handedly saved veteran parades
The only thing I found for that is he, donated money to a 1995 parade in which he was the grand marshal. He offered a matching donation, so whatever they raised up to $1 mil., he'd match. And he helped out a New York Vietnam Veterans Plaza build with a similar matching donation. Other than that, he's charitable. Can you name any other billionaire that has not donated or helped any kind of charity? Any that I've looked at generally have a long list of charitable organizations they are a part of and associated with. Charitable organizations make great tax write offs, magnificent ways to employ your kids and relatives to pass on your fortune to your heirs and avoid gift and inheritance taxes, and not look like a bad guy. |

That is a lovely story, thanks for posting it. You can argue about his movtives, but whatever they were, it was a wonderful thing to do. Fantastic parents as well, doing whatever it takes for their child.

OK....don't tell me..... He actually thought of somebody other than himself? Maybe he decided not to try to date and seduce his own daughter after all? |

Clever although common political ploy to stem the tide of his idiocy.

OK....don't tell me..... He actually thought of somebody other than himself? Maybe he decided not to try to date and seduce his own daughter after all? I think we are meant to disregard whether he was thinking of himself and just aknowledge that it was 'amazing',,,, well, I cant agree, but I can admit it was obviously very helpful to that family,, |

I'm fine with Trump giving away whatever he wants to, even if he only does it because it makes him feel like a big deal. He might be a nice rich guy, in that narrow way.
The problems I have with him, are as a Presidential Candidate only. Nice to little old ladies wont help, if he's driving wedges between the US and it's allies. |

If you don't know, you haven't been paying attention.

If you don't know, you haven't been paying attention. spoken like a true democrat, say something stupid and then absolutely nothing to back it up... the only wedges he might be creating are things that are not in with the democratic agenda/lies... |

Spoken like a true self-deluded. You have no idea what my political affiliation is. CLEARLY. And you are simply responding with a description of your own ignorance. Your ignorance is not my problem or responsibility, it's yours alone.

Trump has said things I like.
He says he wants to get the illegals out of the country, and I like that. His idea to pay for the promised Great Wall across the US Mexican border by hiking immigration fees is interesting, though I'm confident his own party wont support that. So far, I'm still hearing impractical but brave sounding ideas from him. We'll see how things go. he's still in the "appealing to the right-most wing of the GOP to get the nomination" stage of campaigning. We wont know what he REALLY supports, until after he wins the nomination and starts running for actual President. |
