Why do men not take girls they meet online seriously?

Assuming that's true I can see 2 reasons.

1. Because of everything it takes between the first email and actually dating. It's not real until you actually meet. Until then they more often than not don't respond to first emails, if they do then they can disappear at any time, stop responding, be a guy pretending to be a girl, have a fake photo, completely fabricated and fake profile, not show up for any date or meet, start asking for money, and so many other common occurrences online.

2. They don't want to take online dating seriously. They don't want the negative connotations of online dating to be relevant about them.
So they don't take the women using online dating seriously, or anything about online dating seriously.

Other than that, it kind of depends on what you mean by "not take girls they meet online seriously?"
What's making you ask that question?
Do you mean why do some show disrespect by sending genital picks?
Do you mean why don't some take first emails seriously and respond?
Do you mean why don't some read profiles that clearly state what someone doesn't want?
Do you mean why don't some look for a "serious" relationship but only use it for sex or just dating?

think that all depends on the lady that you are talking about

if i run in to a fake profile
correct i dont take them seriously
but the rest i do

now keep in mind a lot of people forget there is someone (a human , well unless my dog is on here , she will do just about anything for a treat)on the other side of the screen

3. Some people think anything online, including people, are items offered as if from a vending machine.

4. The ones you choose to talk to might be worse than the ones you don't. Could be you are accidentally choosing men who don't take you seriously.

For the same reason that some women over-generalize what men do.

Some of us are online hoping sincerely to find love. But some men just seem to think that every lady they meet online is just looking for sex.

I think its because we meet all kinds of women on the internet. Scammers, con artists,players, and to be honest some very nice women but until you find out if they are who they say they are its best not to get your hopes up. I hope you find what your looking for, best wishes to you.

There are some people online that are not looking for a serious relationship, only a casual one, so you must expect to meet them when searching online, as well as meeting scammers, those people only interested in requesting money from you. Be patient, taking your time in getting to know someone online usually sorts the ' Wheat from the Chaff ', and hopefully, you will find the right one for you.
