I am so deeply saddened by this...
I personally don't care what colour the shooter was
nor do I care what political or religious belief's he had..
I don't even care if he was hetrosexual, homosexual..Or any of the thousands of excuses or reasons these people give for this...

What I do care about is that this senseless violence has left more innocent people that were doing nothing more than going to watch a movie with family or friends nothing more. Now are dead, or injured their lives and the lives of their loved ones are shattered..That is all I care about.

My prayers are with all involved...


Time to wake up people each and every life is a precious gift and even one lost is a tragedy.

its been MY OBSERVATION , that the media tends to JUMP all over a story with assumption and interjection and 'sources' so they can report FIRST

it usually takes about two weeks to feel comfortable that actual verifiable FACTS are being released,,

before that, anything that any 'source' says is pretty much the story,,,,

Shame. Hearing about a possible bomb in the gunmans car on CNN, bomb squad robot...
RIP to the dead, recovery wishes and prayers for the wounded and the families.

"Late Thursday, authorities said they had found the gunman's vehicle with a suspicious package inside. A bomb squad and hazmat team were called in and the area near the theater was evacuated. Minutes later, an Associated Press reporter on the scene heard a number of short bursts similar to firecrackers coming from that vicinity. Craft later said that the suspicious object was found to be harmless."

The reports of things like this are appropriate, as long as they are clear about what is known as FACT, and what is just guesswork.

Motives are all just guesswork at this point, and may remain so, since the shooter is dead.

It is common these days, especially among politicians, pundits, and forum fanatics, to jump on every bit of news, good or bad, to claim that it proves their various pet peeves or agendas are Good and Right.

I think what ms harmony is advocating, is what I also council: address only the immediate facts, as necessary and appropriate. Comfort the survivors and living victims, and wait while the mess is investigated, before going anywhere further in reaction to it.

When we over-react, or react inaccurately to something like this, all that is done, is more harm.

Um....you DO realize that this is a forum and not a news network, dont you? I can guarantee you that forums across the country, hell, world, are full of speculation about this event. Its what people do...they talk about $hit....and in some cases, even joke about it.

The guy was really a loser. The motive may never be clear. I can't see a 59 year old dating one of the girls but who knows? He might have been hired to kill someone or maybe he was just nutz. He may have been overheard saying something at the theater before or during the shooting which could shed some light.
