I believe the answer is solely based upon
how often you like to change them.

Love this answer!

I don't like the pricey amount you have to pay for the long lasting bulbs but the brighter long lasting LED's are great for preventing falls and are way cheaper than falls or dropping the parts trying to get the "globe" off and having to pay someone to replace the fixture.

Why aggravate yourself doing some of these petty chores over and over? Your time is valuable too.

Yes.. I have decided to do that..
but I have noticed they don't fit in the glass.. you know the decorative things around your light bulbs..lol.. I have to undo the glass part.. screw in the new bulb.. then put the glass back on... I don't mean take the class right off...... I literally have to hold both pieces.. and screw them both in together... a bit of a pain in the *** actually... the new bulbs are quite big...

Just for your information .... it recently was published that energy saving light bulbs are HIGHLY toxic, as in really f*cking toxic. Like a miniature chemical plant that can cause cancers, diseases etc. When they're not on, it's okayish, although they'll still give of toxic gases, but when they get warm (when they're on) the **** will hit the fan. Do NOT buy those! Well, unless you want chemical plants in your home or just put them in lights to leave them off, lol.
And yes, those are ridiculously large, ugly, and their light colour / warmth is horrible. Dump the toxic pests!!

LEDs are okay, and those aren't all that large. They will save you a lot of energy, more so even than so called energy saving bulbs. Plus, they won't get hot or warm. At all.

But... don't go for the very cheap ones. Invest in proper ones if you can, cos those have a far better chip, which means the lightcolour is SO much better! Cheap LEDs tend to give off very bluish cold light, not warm light. (Because they got El Cheapo chips inside).
So go for the good ones. If memory serves, they are supposed to last you 10+ years. And yes, they'll cost an arm and a leg, but trust me, they're worth it. Well, unless you don't give a chit if your place looks cold and uninviting.

There's one manufacturer that currently makes THE best LEDs (best chips in 'em). I couldn't get those locally so I went for the next best thing

op that is good and even though expensive ... in the long run you save ... I could not believe i found a energy efficient night light ... I changed all mine out ... which I have many ... inside and outside ... and manly in the others inside energy efficient or very low wattage... and I would not recommend the energy efficient if you have places where you blow a lot of lights when u turn the switch on ... had that issue in another house ... so always went cheap ...
