I have no idea how I missed such a collection of words. This was one of the most heartfelt pieces I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

K C sorry for bringing this back up. I wanted to show my mom and my sis your beautiful poem. We were raised by a step father who never really tried to connect with us I just had to show this . My sis lost her husband in the war and is afraid that she will not find anyone to accept her two kids. I wanted to show her that there are people out there with souls like yours. So now you have 3 grown women crying infront of a puter screen and all I can say is thank you thank you thank you!!!
You have touched more people with this than you know. He is lucky to have you. We are lucky to have seen a part of your heart.

Well I just now got to get around to reading this one very heartfelt indeed. I had step-mothers growing up and believe me neither of them did I want to call them Mother well only with another word added. It is awesome to hear when a child does that for a child sees things we no longer see as adults. When a child on there own wants to call one Mom or Dad when it is a step parent all I can say is you just reacived the higest honor any human could possible gotten.

Thank you for the words of praise and acceptance. I am so glad this touched so many people in so many ways.The response this has gotten.Is unfamiliar to me as I have never shared anything I have written, before last week. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea what this does to my soul. The stories people email me are heartbreaking, inspiring and very touching. Again thank you all.
