Well Summer is in full sizzle here in California as in other places and I wonder how people would take and invitation to have a swim date. I love to swim and have a pool but I don't want to make it sound like and individual date is and all season pass. I am always a little nervous to inquire if someone actually can swim or if they see that as a suggestive date? Any opinions? I have yet to have someone not show up clean and appropriate to date but have heard that sometimes happens?

you toss out that hook you never know what you will real in : )

if i lived closer i would take ya up on the offer
you are a very nice lady
and speak straight (witch is hard to find)

but i think it would be more of how you put it out there to how people take it
<shrug>
well and in what mind frame they are in : (

This is true at least a lot of the makeup and so forth. Kind of hard for a guy to be too macho in COLD water hahahaha

I wonder how people would take and invitation to have a swim date

Hmmm...based on how some of the other forum threads are going I would assume something like:

"OMG! He's inviting me to go swimming? He just wants to see me in a bikini! He just wants one thing! It's all games!!!"

"OMG! She's inviting me to go swimming? She wants to show me her bikini! I'm getting laid! Oh wait, no. I'm a nice respectful guy that just wants a mature woman to sit and have tea with respectful conversation."

I don't want to make it...an all season pass...I am always a little nervous to inquire if someone actually can swim or if they see that as a suggestive date?

If you're not sure, don't invite them to your house.
Keep dating until you are sure, or really willing to accept the risk.
Then invite them.
I'm simple minded though.
To me that works.

I have yet to have someone not show up clean and appropriate to date but have heard that sometimes happens?

Sht happens.
It's on bumper stickers.
It could be worse, right?
You're not dating Dahmer Manson the sausage king of Sacramento, are you?

Swim dates are fun, I live in Myrtle Beach and a walk along the shore or maybe a swim is a great date.

A swim date is a great idea! I love swimming. And I really love the way the sun and swimming make your body feel at the end of the day...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

We usually go for a swim in groups, with friends.
I had a swim date once, but we were going steady already. I think you both have either got to be fairly comfortable with each other to make a swim date work, otherwise might be awkward...

Hey if they have a boat and want to go fishing I'm all for it and catch some swimming in while we are at it or tubing... shshs

Dates are about having fun what ever you do..

I had one at a gun range one time.. At first I thought okay have not shot a gun in 20 years I got this... I actually out shot him and had a blast.. It is all up to the people involved if you have fun or not..

Does not matter what you do it is best to catch people being natural to really get to know them...

If only. I have a fear of swimming. Well, more like drowning. I won't have anything to do with pools, the sea, etc. I can't get myself onto a cruise ship. I'm also scared of aeroplanes as well. I suppose I'll never need a passport then. laugh

Not on first date
now if it was getting together with
friends on the boat that would be different or walking on beach talking and watching sunset
