Simple rule basic info anyone could find online and meet a few time in public
You chat sooner rather then later they will show if they are a scammer or fake |

there is a big difference in trusting someone with the little chit chat stuff about you day to day, the weather, did you see the latest movie or TV favorite or if you like pizza on Friday night and telling vital information that would compromise your security.
Things you DO NOT TELL Your pets name; especially if you use it for a password; by the way really dumb idea. When you are going to be away from home. You can talk about it when you get back. Don't announce your days off or shifts. Make and Model of your car and or motorcycle. NEVER Show your license plates. Posting your favorite toys; collectibles, or weapons. Criminals don't care about breaking the law and buying your IP address. Or any other information if they know they can go over and help themselves to guns. They can take hotdogs to feed your dogs and be out of your house in three minutes flat. Talk about Ex's. I guarantee it will get back to them and just about anyone can come in and read every post you ever wrote. Do you want your kids or their attorney to read that? Or your parents? If you work for a conservative employer your views on certain "hot button" issues. If you think nervous employers don't check out date sites when they are picking key people you are crazy. That you ever committed a crime. The statue of limitations may have run out but the civil liability might not. The court does not tell victims when you move but believe me some people carry grudges for a long time. It is also a thing a landlord will not ask you but if you blab it on here you can bet the little old lady who is sister to your landlady will. Where you go to school or college. On campus crime is a real problem and you think employers are nosey think about the creepy creature that seems to hang out on campus. They have computer access. Where you work. It is one thing to say something about the kind of work you do career you want to work towards but no specifics. Don't name names and take your uniform off in selfies. This is particularly true of medical staff who often wear scrubs in photos that pretty much tell where they work by the color. Or about work problems. Unless you just like being unemployed. About your kids. Maybe a general idea of ages toddler, school age, grown and flown but not names and current pictures. Never nick names because that just gives kids at school information for them to be picked on with. Generally health information. This especially true if you are employment age or hope to buy health insurance or life insurance. You may uise a different screen name here but I can find any of your email address from every site you use in one web site and so can they. |

why would yo not trust anyone? Yea then the ratfinks win. To often you don't have to be conquered just scared into hiding. |

I tend to run on the assumption people are generally honest and trustworthy. However, trust takes time. I guess you could say it's prepare for the worst, hope for the best. That sentiment seems to work for life in general really.

I am somewhere between these two gentlemen... I do tend to believe til I am given a reason not to, I also don't blindly give my life secrets either. |

I don't generally trust anyone right away....either online or in real-life
but I do find that in real-life people tend to trust me right away....I was at six-flags and a lady asked me to watch her kid for a few minutes while she ran to the restroom....... guess I have one of thise faces....I thought it strange that she'd leave her kid with a stranger |

Trust is earned, and most times slowly. To be fair though, I will give a person the opportunity to prove me wrong.
