#1 God is not some kind of a sadistic monster, who is looking for an excuse to torture something forever. He wants people to have eternal life. Those who follow his commandments will live. Those who don’t will die.
Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’
Ezekiel 18:23
Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?
Matthew 7:11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

#2 People are mortal, they die. Nothing is said about being tortured forever, they die.

Genesis 6:3
Then the Lord said, “My spirit shall not abide in mortals forever, for they are flesh; their days shall be one hundred twenty years.”
Job 14:10
But mortals die, and are laid low; humans expire, and where are they?
Job 34:15
all flesh would perish together, and all mortals return to dust.
Psalm 49:12
Mortals cannot abide in their pomp; they are like the animals that perish.

#3 People are made from the same elements that make up the earth. When they are born there is nothing in people that can, or does live forever. Nothing, that could be tortured forever in Hell.

Genesis 2:7
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The soul who sins shall die.


#4 Eternal life is a two stage project. We are all in the first stage, some will be turned to spirit when Christ returns. All who have died so far are sleeping until the first resurrection. No one is burning in Hell.

John 3:13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.

#5 Eternal life is a gift. Nobody has it yet. The first to receive it will be the ones who are in the first resurrection. God does not give eternal life to everyone. There are some he will have to kill,

Matthew 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Luke 11:13
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

#6 God the father and Jesus are spirit beings. Their spirit can flow back and forth, into and out of people. This spirit is the only thing that people may have, that is immortal. Would God torture some of his own spirit forever in Hell?

#7 God will destroy everything unclean with the lake of fire. This fire burns forever until everything is burned up, not forever as in all of eternity. When the fire is finished there will be a new beginning.



Revelation 20:14
Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

The main reason people won't spend eternity in hell is because hell is not eternal. Hell is/was a temporary holding place for Satan, hell is not for man. When Jesus returns next time, hell will be destroyed and thrown into the lake of fire and this is known as the second death. Hell is nothing more then the "grave". As why some scriptures say Jesus was in the heart of the Earth for 3 days, some say in the grave for 3 days, other's say in hell for 3 days. And also why hell will give up it's dead for judgement. And also why Jesus said "Matthew 12:40

40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.


Revelation 20:14

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

After that, he must be set free for a short time.

The binding of satan is a future event. It is after Christ returns.

How do you figure satan is bound now? It seems to me he is stirring up all kinds of trouble and the "Great Tribulation" hasn't even started.

The only thing Satan can do atm is "tempt" someone(s), nothing more.

Very true, but Satan is still bound to hell currently. He can't "physically" do anything to anyone. He can only tempt peopple to do such actions in question. But can the end of times and "tribulation" and all that, Satan will be "physically" walking the world doing that which he plans to do. Then he'll rein, then he'll be thrown into the lake of fire and so on and so on.

That is because of how incredibly blown up the idea of Hell is. All hell is, is the grave, in the ground, in the heart of the Earth, ect.

Some people want God to act just like them. They would never make anyone remain in a lake of fire for eternity. So, they insist that God would never do so, either. Too bad for them that Revelation 20:15 is actually a part of the New Testament.

Side Note: The word Hell is northern European in origin. It wasn't used by the New Testament writers.

Thrown in the Lake of Fire, you die, burned to nothing. Man is mortal, the soul will die. There is no soul, spirit or anything else is man that is immortal. The only thing immortal is if we are given God's spirit, his gift.

Satan is ruling the world now. He offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and Jesus did not question they were satan's to give.
