Besides and more important than just the tone or the sound of the voice of the other party, would be whether you can even make out what the heck they are saying!

I had no problems talking to some, but I have had difficulty understanding what some others were really saying.... due to their accent, drawl, pronunciation.

We finally had to revert back to texting.

Yes, me too....smile To difficult for me to understand the British accent.

I think if someones voice irritated me, there would be other things that I didn't like either. I have never really had that problem so far. Now if someones voice made me laugh every time they talked, I would have to end it because I would get tickled and laugh all the time. That would stress me out totally!!

Oh no Red, The New Zealand accent is more English sounding I think...though Blondey would probably know for sure...the Aussie accent is quite hard for foreigners to understand but that can attributed to all the slang we throw into it....I grew up in New Zealand and I have trouble understanding them at times...hehe

I love, love the NZ accent. love My honey who lives there sent me recordings of just him talking because I asked him to. We lost touch but he still writes to me from time to time.

A voice isn't enough for me to judge whether they're decent enough. But I gotta say, I'm not too keen on monotone voices. If they talk like a robot, then I'm gonna feel a bit bored. I tend to meet men who either want it all, or don't really want anything. Usually there's no in-between with them, but at least it means not having to lie to me. I've got a friend who keeps telling me that he's confused about what type of woman he wants. That's just how his brain works. :nowaythink. I recommended dating online, but he seems doubtful about it. And with him having a mental illness, I don't always know how to help him. It's a shame. He deserves a good woman. flowerforyou
