Topic: Those Words

The more I live on Earth (the only planet for humans) the more I realize how devalued saying "i love you" is and the weight those words carry. I think they've trended and said out of false pretenses so much their meaning is kind of empty.

Awwwww...hi Mariah...waving...I felt like that....
but if you havent loved for a long time and think your never gonna love again.....
then suddenly it pops up and bites you on the azz.....
well, then you realize it still exists and is very real.....

somehow
" I like cheese" doesn't have the same ring to it

hmmmmm
" I dig ya" sounds like you gonna bury someone

" you send me" could just mean you are going to the store now bigsmile

that is why i avoid the word "love" in all senses.
I prefer methaphors or actions.

and i advise you to do the same.

This is why I always say, "I wanna phuck you sweetly". That's devotion.

It's like money. When people misuse it, it's not the money that gets devalued, it's those people's character that does.

Keep saying it, and keep meaning it. Just learn not to fall for the shiny flash alone.

Saying 'I love you' is also love, if you mean it. People do deceitful things as if it were love, it can turn out a lot worse than a few words said. Who cares if people say it and don't mean it, just worry about what they do.

Whilst I believe very strongly in love.

Hearing the words "I love you", from anyone,
turns my stomach.

Saying those words, has the same effect.

I've had the blues, the reds, and the pinks...
All I can say is,
LOVE STINKS!

I've become desensitized to hearing them said now. Yesterday there was I'm assuming a friend/couple meeting at a cafe, they kept saying it over and over. It made me roll my eyes, it didn't sound sincere. Personally most people have overrated the words too much. Of course I don't know that friendship's history but I'm going with what I heard, and it didn't feel genuine. It felt like me saying: "I love peppermint ice cream."

Very well said, I will always tell my friends and family I love them and mean it when I do....

As far as a partner yes many have seemed to have forgotten what those words mean and at times throw them with no meaning. It is sad that some throw the words out I Love Ya~~~ with no sense of meaning..

Key to it all find those that are not users and distance yourself from those that are... But.....never let those that don't even know what love is change the way you know what those three words really mean.whoa

With friends, and family the words I love you come so easily, I feel them, I need to say them. As far as someone I'm dating/seeing, it takes me a while to get to those 3 words, and I tend to wait until the must come out, there's no holding them back anymore.

this topic reminds me of the song more than words.
when my first son was little I would put that song on repeat and dance him around and around the kitchen

at his wedding it is the song he played for his mom and me dance
