it is not about what you read and think of what you read.
A religion that is based entirely on dogma has to be about what you read. It can't be about anything else. In fact, as soon as you claim that it's about something else then you are denying the very dogma you are claiming to worship. I do believe that this is precisely what most modern Christians do. They just ignore the doctrine they claim to be following and make up their own stuff and call that Christianity. This hasn't gone unnoticed by scholars and writers. It's quite widely recognized actually. |

Your problem is you complain about "dogma" & on the other side of your mouth you mock works through faith that rests on God's power to deliver & restore & make people right. A faith & power that is not of ourselves but God. So what do you offer besides man made garbage? Or do you just like to argue with people? |

It's quite widely recognized actually. I will give you that. Dogma is the assumptive operative here. Arrogance. " Compliment my dogma and I will compliment yours." J M Mason But to be dogma, it must first be a settled opinion. I am not settled in your assumptions that Christianity is a dogmatic discertation. I am settled, however, in the judgement that truth eludes you. But I must agree with you in that your assumptions are dogmatically espoused by you in your disarray quite consistently.\ The truth is never arrogant but to the arrogant, abra. |

"A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her." This doesn't mean my heart in the way you are referring to funch.....My life and my love are Jesus Christ.....know him.......then know my true heart.....don't know him and you will never have a clue.....which is I would say right on in this whole point. |

Christians "A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her." When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'" I'm whispering "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven." When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it. When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain.. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow! Pretty is as Pretty does... but beautiful is just plain beautiful! Christ was a man in a man's body : he had a penis , a rectum , he eat and drunk ...etc . He had his views and those who believe in him would find all kinds of excuses to link life aspects to him . Those who do not believe in him have better things to do than living in contradictions and myths of a certain and total primitive life . . |

And that is all well and good....if that works for you....then by golly you have fun with that.....But let me explain something to you....My Lord and Savior has shown me......and to deny Him is just not an option. I am not who I am because I was brought up that way.....I am who I am because of my experiences and The Lord & Savior showing me things. So I would suggest that unless you know all the above you stated to be true.....that you schhhhhhhh because I do know......And just in case you thinking oh what arrogance this one has....for thinking that God talks to her....well sweets it's not a matter of arrogance but a matter of Faith..... I also would like you to e-mail madamx and ask her what my Lord & Savior has done for her in the last 10 days....and then dare say the crap you spew....... |

Here saved you asking her......This was all through prayer to the Lord......He heard and he answered.....so to say he is not real or just like anyone else.......not to be my sweet...
I am not sure how to explain this...I am just shaking. I just came back from the doctor's office. I went in and they ran blood work on me as they always do to check my cell counts and such. I sat in the room forever with no one coming in to talk to me...I could hear the commotion outside the door, people mumbling and scrambling. My doctor comes in and says we are going to do another scan on you right now and a man led me down to diagnostics. They injected me with this stuff that I could feel the warmth flush thru me and ran the scans. I went back to the doctor's room and WAITED FOREVER! Now I am nervous...what is going on?!?!?!? The doctor comes in...smiling...shaking her head...she says my cell count is normal and nothing is showing up on the scans today. I start laughing histerically. Then I start to cry. By this time, I am sure she thinks I am nuts "You made a mistake. Either today or 2 weeks ago when you told me I had the cancer." She kept shaking her head. She showed me the images from 9 days ago, you could visibly see it there. Then today's images...NOTHING!!!!!!!! She says she can not explain it! I am still freaking out. Is this possible? I am still shaking my head....WOW is all I can think of to say....WOW and Thank you God!!!!!!!! I go back on the 13th to be checked again.....WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW God shows through his children every day that he can perform miracles daily......The power of prayer is an awesome thing.....and He does answer prayer if the heart of the person is dedicated to him.....Love God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind......don't.....your free will. |

A faith & power that is not of ourselves but God. Well that could certainly be argued. Is a person believes that faith and belief are truly all that is necessary then how can anyone know from whence the actual power arises? In this way there is power in all faiths. This may come as a shock to you (and others as well), but I do not denounce a believe in Christianity or Jesus. Not in the least. I think belief is good. Where Christianity gets itself into trouble is when it claims that it is they ONLY WAY. There's where the problem lies. That's really the only problem with the religion. If they weren't trying to push it onto everyone else claiming that all must bow down and worship Jesus, and all must confess that he is the Kind of Kings and Lord of Lords. Then it wouldn't be a problem. It's the arrogance of the religion that gets it into so much trouble. If people could worship Jesus and allow other people to worship their Gods with equal respect then no one would have a problem with Christianity. So what do you offer besides man made garbage? Or do you just like to argue with people? As far as I'm concern that's precisely what the bible is. Man made garbage. And yes, I'll argue with anyone who's trying to tell me that I have to believe in what I believe to be man made garage. Like I say, if you want to worship the bible I have absolutely no problem with that at all. Not one iota. The problem is that you've chosen to support a religion that claims that all other religions are a farce. It doesn't really matter whether you agree with that or not. That's truly what the biblical doctrine is claiming. Christians are constantly out to convert people and totally disrespect the religions of others by simply not even giving them the consideration of having any merit whatsoever. But then when they do that to Christianity all hell breaks loose. The Christians can't handle what they dish out. When they proselytize to other people and tell them that they need to be 'saved' they are throwing stones. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. It's as simple as that. By the way, I do enjoy debating. They why I come to discussion forums. If I wasn't interested in discussing things I'd be out picking daises. What really cracks me up is people who come onto discussion forms and then complain that the people who are discussing are 'arguing'. What do you expect everyone to do? Just humor everyone? What would be the point to that? May as well go out and pick the daisies if that's what you want to do. You can discuss religion from a purely biblical sense if you like. Just post your concerns or question. Then ignore all the responses that you don't care for, and only respond to the people who are offering you want you want. It's no different from being in a crowded room with lots of people talking. You just focus on the person(s) that you want to talk to, and ignore the background noise. You should be able to have some really great conversations with other like-minded people. Just scroll over the posts you aren't interested in responding to. If you have a religious question that you would like to ask concerning something in the Bible and you are only interested in Christian responses, tell me what it is and I'll start a thread for it and show you how it's done. Although, you also have the COFFEEHOUSE CHAT FOR CHRISTIANS too. |
