Topic: Make the bed or not? | |
---|---|
I don't bother making it - I figure there is no sense in spending time straightening a room no one besides me sees. The key phrase here is, 'no one besides me sees'. I'm in the same situation, RO. I usually just straighten the sheets out and I'm out of there. |

My missus usually makes it considering that I'm up first for work every day and she's still in it by the time I go to work!

Cover it up straight away? NOT healthy!
Ever heard of mite? They thrive in dark slightly moist environments and your bed is slightly moist after a night's sleep. You lose bodily fluids, sweat, when you sleep ... approx 1/2 - 1 liter, which is quite a lot! Best thing to do is to pull back the duvet completely so it can ventilate .. that way you give mite less change to thrive. They don't like light, so leaving your bed open is far better. And apart from mite, the bed can dry properly. I usually make the bed after it's ventilated several hours, with the window open. |

I make the bed...but not right away...coffee takes precedence. I make my bed ...not sure how long it takes me depends on how much I have rolled around that night... I have grown pretty use to these really soft blankets ...so have one over my electric blanket now instead of a sheet and another one between me and the comforter ... an just waiting to see how hot it gets before i take all off and put set of sheets back on and will still throw the comforter over ... when do I make it that all depends too ... if i am out of here early it doesn't' get made till I am back ... I have a set of chores daily and try to get them done and the bed is a part of those chores ... |

I don't bother making it - I figure there is no sense in spending time straightening a room no one besides me sees. I think it is different for people who live alone?...No? No I will help you make your bed, Romeo... i would really like that I can probably help you mess it up, too.... Is that a promise ? I don't make promises. I make threats... |

A die hard habit...... first thing before I even get out of bed is I would fold my blanket neatly if I have been using it during the night, straighten the sheets and I'm out of the room......until I crash into it come bedtime!

Every time I wake up, I make my bed. Even though I'm gonna mess it up again later... It takes me about 20 seconds. I throw the comforter back on it evenly and then add my big red pillow. How long does it take you to make your bed? Or do you just leave it ready for later?....Lazy. I have my maid do it......unless there are stains on it, then....wait a minute. |
