Heck...I'm just happy to still be aging. The alternative kinda sucks. yup, tis true. Better an alive dog, than a dead lion. And that is not directed at anyone, just a saying that came to mind ..... I wasn't paranoid until you wrote "that is not directed anyone". |

Hah! Don't be fooled, Miss...These cagey femme fatales are just fishing for compliments. It says so right here in my book - Chapter 3 'They KNOW they're dolls...but it never hurts to tell'em so."

I think you can age gracefully, I eat right and exercise daily because I am happy and want to live a full life. There is so much more to life when you age if you don't give up.

I am 47...some days I feel old...some I look old... Sometimes people think my 11 year old is my grandson I feel ancient and it hurts your not ancient.. by far. I think that the 40's and 50's are the best time. For the most part your kids are grown or to the point where they do not need constant care. You have established yourself in what you do for a living. And you know what you want in life. You have the experiences ( good and bad) that brought you to this point, experiences that only time can provide. your body ( while at times may get tired) is still very capable;).. as is your mind No.. your not old.. enjoy this time in life |

When I hit the 50s three years ago, it was like unbelievable! OMG.....half a century old!
But remembering in the days when I was a young gal, people in their 50s or 60s looked old. But the modern 50s and 60s are more like people in their 30s or 40s. No doubt some bones may creak and some joints are painful, but some days (I would like to think most days) I feel I can conquer the world and I am undertaking more than I did when I was in my 20s or 30s. I drive faster and is more daring than I was when I was younger too. And good and better at it to boot! So, the saying 'you are only as old as you feel' does apply! |

I'm 48, most people think I am a lot younger, so I'm not too bothered by aging, not yet anyways.
Sometimes it gets a bit awkward when I talk to my kids, esp my daughter. I think she expects me to be "old" and not think, behave and dress the way I do. If I was to go out with her, I'd have to tone my clothes down a notch just to keep her comfortable. The stuff I've worn on stage... my kids, esp my girl, weren't comfortable with that, lol. This year I'm thinking of wearing something sexy again, maybe my high heeled thigh boots. Got the legs for it. And my kids aren't there, so I don't need to worry about making them feel awkward. So yeah.. it's mostly my kids feeling uncomfortable with mom looking young and not acting her age (in their minds anyways). Surely others must have the same thing with their kids? |

I am not more daring than I was when younger. When younger you often don't see the possible consequences, now I do. But there's a lot of other stuff I do now that I daren't do when younger. Because I lacked the confidence. |

I am 47 and my daughter asked me yesterday what it was like to be 'old'. I laughed and said ask me when I am 70. But it seriously got me thinking... What is old? "The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years." [Audrey Hepburn] PS: 'Old' relates to the 'physical self'. I presume, it's nothing to do with the 'soul'. As far as I have known you, 'LadyWind7' (whatever 'little' I have known you), "you are 'young' at heart & you'll always be 'young' & 'vivacious', as I have sensed you to be..." |

Only half way to 100.

Yeah, and on the way to needing reading glasses, lol.
I can still see close by, but it's starting to get a tad awkward... I don't really care about needing reading glasses, but they require you to position your head in such a way that my neck injury starts acting up. So in that sense they're a real pain in the neck. |

My mom wrongfully stated how old I was the other day. She said I was 50. I am 47. I replied back, "If you treat me like I'm still 14 YO, then why would you say I'm 50, when I'm 47?"

I won't get old. Not even if I live well into my 100's. I'll just be more experienced.
