How important are someone else's teeth to you? Esp your date/partner's?

I can't help but stare at someone's teeth when they're off, as in ..
seriously discoloured, irregular, lots of dental plaque showing or when they look like they haven't seen a toothbrush in years.

Or something that can't be helped: when they laugh their entire upper jaw and gums are revealed :/

I've noticed that even many actors have seriously irregular (lower) teeth?? You'd say they'd have enough money to have their teeth straightened and looked after?
Even Lena Headey (GoT Cersei Lannister) has an irregular lower tooth that juts out?
They all have perfectly regular upper teeth, not the lower ones though? Weird..

When they're not cared for yes its off putting. Like rotting teeth. Could also mean drug use. But some things can't be helped. Like I have an under bite or something. They said we can fix it but we have to break your jaw. I told them that's okay I loooove my under bite. Lol. My love has a front tooth that's crooked. His teeth are well cared for though. I don't know why but I love it. I think it gives him character.

for me, if the teeth were not cared for because of lack of hygiene that is a show stopper.

But if it was due to something out of their control or they did not have the money to fix the issues, then it would not bother me.

I know a person who has to take meds, daily, for life. and those meds affected her teeth color and made her gums sensitive. This affected her smile..She hated it.. But she had to take them.

Yup. Bothers me. A nibbling is a big deal for me.

Yeah, me too. Nothing over the top, but brushing, go to the dentist for checkups, they clean them thoroughly each time as well. And if there's something wrong.
I know ppl that are missing a tooth, women as well as men. I simply can't believe ppl want to walk around like that for the rest of their lives!
When they laugh, you see a dark gap. Horrible!

I've got perfect teeth, my dentist says that everytime, I never need a scale, because I take very good care of my own teeth and super clean. I've had a impacted wisdom tooth removed, and I've got a white crown and just very basic work.

Ive saw the worst cases ever when I was a dental nurse and gaps where very visible I don't like, but I would rather see one small gap, ( not incisors) than see a rotten tooth!!!

Dirty stained teeth, total turn off.

I remember puking a bit in my mask once, the smell of a dirty rotten tooth being extracted is pretty foul!!

My son has a huge gap between his front teeth. Its so cute now but I worry about when he is older.

Bad teeth are my pet peeve and the worst is that I see them all the time. Good call on the actors. More of them need to pay attention to their dental hygiene. You'd think with all that money and getting paid to look good, more of them would bother. Too many people are dentally challenged and it sucks.

but halitosis is a definite no-no..

yes my grandfather used to say checking a horse's teeth is important..

.... I think that carries over to people as well..lol..... I had a couple back molars.. get shattered in a climbing accident.. thank God for implants..

lol, horses have their teeth "floated" or filed if uneven wear it makes chewing painful with those massive jaws. Kinda like TMJ.

Teeth..minor detail.
Eyebrows..very crucial.

They are not important to me at all.
I worry about myself being right, NEVER about
someone else meeting some kind of standard.

They will have their own standards.
Up to them.

If, however, their eyebrows COVER their teeth,
I may contact a zoo.

Oh Crap I thought I had it made I got the good teeth down pat..
Now checking eyebrows....


I guess this was something I must have never ran across before
I have never given it a thought either way.
