Note To Self: Maya Angelou: A woman's heart must be so hidden in God that a man has to seek Him to find her.' IAmWhoIAm1: 'Women should be treated like Goddesses.' I was 'pondering' over 'those' two statements. What I could 'eventually' deduce is 'IAmWhoIAm1' didn't exactly say what 'Maya Angelou' implied. If I were to write a note to 'IAm', I would say: According to 'Maya Angelou', a woman should 'make' herself in a manner, 'befitting' her to be treated like a 'Goddess', by any 'man'. This reminds me of an old saying: If you want to be loved, make yourself 'lovable' (first) (as a 'precondition') 
Likewise, a 'woman' MUST make herself 'respectable' in order to be treated like a 'Goddess' in veracity. 
I feel that statement of 'Maya Angelou' is directed towards 'women' and 'men' (with stress upon 'women' making themselves 'pure' and 'chaste' in order to be respected by 'men', far more); unlike 'IAm's' statement which is directed towards 'men' (only), who should 'treat (any) woman like a 'Goddess'!'
I hope I could express myself properly, though the art of articulate speech was never my 'forte'!
