Yeah because getting with someone else will only hurt that person,you
really won't be into them.Your heart is still in love with the other
person. Plus you will usually do something you regret when you just jump
to the next guy you meet.

It takes time....I felt like I needed to get comfortable being alone
again. So I waited a while....kept myself busy....still not in a hurry
lol....I love making new freinds!

on a personal note...

i had wrapped my life around his, when he came home, when to stay outta
site, all that....so when i finally decided to leave the ass, i had
freedom, but didn't know what to do with it, i could stay at home, i
could go out, i could go to my best friend's house again, and actually
BE a best friend to her.

the only problem was, i didn't know what to do first, or where to begin
being ME.

i had lost me somewhere by wrapping my life around his. So, after being
seperated for a little over a yr now, i AM her best friend again, i DO
come and go as i please, and i DO stay at home when i feel like it.
still gettin my life in order, and straightening my kids lives out (they
were effected too).

so all in all, time is what it takes, day by day, night by night, keep
in mind, get back to you, learn again who you are, what you stand for,
and what you sit for if that makes sense lol

if not, you'll remain lost

i can completely understand bringing both of your lives together because
that is what a relationship is but i don't ever want a woman to forget
who she is when we get deeper into the relationship, that is the whole
reason that i am with her.

you sound like you are adapting pretty well ellgee and i wish you the
best, it'll only keep getting better.
