So I got a message from a guy who seemed nice...I guess...I don't know since I could not understand a word of his message. I asked him if he was from the US and he said yes. He was talking a lot of gibberish...really bad misspellings and words that made no sense. Anyway, just wondering if I am the only one that this is a turn off for. I like someone who can spell wear :)

I like someone who can spell wear :) Turn off... I ignore them & block most.. Well they are either Not Americans or scammers or BOTH, or extremely uneducated or drunk or high.

wow,,SO if thay cant spell very well there not worth getting to no huh? Not on a date site ... Not for me. The more people have in common including education, class, etc.. The better. You can always view it as ' personal preference', just like.. Age, race, marital status, financial status, religion, morals, geography, body type, number of children .. & everything else. |

Having said that, I hold no one to those impossible standards. If they manage to communicate the thought, I am good with it. |

It wouldn't bother me at all.
Unless of course it was that bad that it was obvious they were not from the Country they state. I have an English accent, I think it would be ignorant if someone was to hold that against me. |

I used to claim this until I lost 2 bets on the same day. military ranks have different spelling. at least it was just for who's buying ice cream btw spelling errors don't bother me if I can figure it out. I think the op is talking about people from elsewhere who pretend to be something else. |

You are here looking for friends only... And your a MOD on an international date site. Many other women are looking for some type of partner. *Geez.. I hope this thread doesn't go on lock down. I'm sure there will be major issues on it as the evening wears on.. Since this is international.. site .

I like someone who can spell wear :) Many dyslecic people wont tolerate ignorant people. So your not perfect. Were you up front with them? Maybe you would have veiwed things differently, you need to be eductated youself. Dyslexia is not your inconvenience its ours.Did your read the rules before posting? Are you aware you are breaking them? You not perfect but you don't have a condition that I'm aware of. Sorry I should ask before I form an opinion or I become the Ignorant one. So no option formed. |

Care to except my challange to a speling bee? hahahahaha Any time Canada :-) I was set to go to the National Spelling Bee Championships back in the day, unfortunately, after I won the state they said I was too young at 13, nowadays they are ALL that young. |

An occasional mistake is no biggie....but some God awful text language is a no go. "Dis" or "Dat" or words ending in a "z" that isn't supposed to be there are ridiculous.
Also, "dint", for "didn't"....or "wit", for "with"....really? lol |
