i have a question... why, when referring to a "possession", is it only demon like entities? angels and god cannot possess people as well? only bad spirits/demons?

You got that right. That has to do with our free will. No one is allowed to take away our free will, not even angel, archangels, etc. Free will is our birthright. It also means the good ones may not interfere (as in help) unless we ask for help. Otherwise it would be messing with our free will, our free choice, and this is not allowed.
That's why only the negative and bad ones will do so.

And you can believe it or not, mock it or not... I've had an entity in my body once, and it's not a particularly fun experience.

not mocking, just don't believe in it... one of the reasons it's not practiced much anymore is because of the deaths associated with exorcisms, no medical attention is there, only priests...

I have not seen an exorcism, but I have seen a manifestation. Years ago my friend and I attended an ordinairy prayer meeting. My friend was about to go on holiday and the elders were praying for blessing upon her.
Next minute she put her hands over her ears(did not want to hear it) she started making a noise I have never heard like a deep anguish and conflict. Then she speedily shred her thick jacket to pieces, which was not her own strength, she is not strong.
I was sitting next to her and quick as, I removed myself.
It was awful to see someone you love be tormented like that and see them be "taken over" by a demon.
The church leaders prayed for her and she was in shock afterwards and very embaressed.
So yes demon possesion happens.

and you don't have to be a believer for it to happen...

I am very inteterested in psychology. I have seen "mental breakdowns" first hand. There was a difference between what I saw with that friend and what I have seen with others.
I asked her what she was feeling when it happened, she told me shr felt herself getting smaller and smaller inside. Her will I guess.

The exorcist we had over was not a priest and what he did was nothing like what you see in the movies either.
There's a difference between bad/negative spirits and demonic stuff. Bad/negative spirits can be bad enough. Often deceased people that aren't aware they are dead, or are stuck in the lower realms of the after world etc. Sometimes they're bound to an area, a building or a person. Can still be very hard work to help them pass over. Often they don't want to go, cause they are scared. Others can be nasty a-holes.
Different ballgame from the demonic exorcisms you get to see in movies.
And even the non demonic stuff can be pretty darned freaky... some places are seriously haunted.

I've once lived in a house, temp rental, a new house, and odd stuff happened there. Sudden temperature drops, chilling you to the bone, shadows, hearing things, sensing things, both my kids saw things. Then I found out the entire block was built on an ancient pre-Christian burial site :/ They didn't know, they found out when they'd started building. Friggin wonderful!
There's similar sites in the US, Indian sites for instance. Not demonic, but serious chit nonetheless. You often get similar things on places where heavy battle took place in the past.

The last house I lived in, the one that required an exorcist, was next to the church. As far as I could work out, it was built on leylines (not very smart, in the old days no one built a home on a leyline, for good reason) and on - or close to - what used to be the death road. The entire village had a weird vibe. Heard later on that the gallows used to be just outside the village. NOt just the one, but like a field of 'em. The place where ppl from the entire area were hanged, just outside the village.
Still nothing demonic, but serious chit. If you ever wanted to cleanse that energy, would be very hard work, not likely something one person can do on his/her own. And sometimes thing some places cannot even be healed, like some Indian places in the States.

oh yes, ive dealt with mental patients too. sometimes, they have illusions that reference to some supernatural or paranormal beings... especially the schizophrenics... and many do have abnormal sensations, just like what your friend described, among others... but for most part are unwanted, so i wouldnt say it was her will... unless their condition is drug induced...

its pretty interesting to reflect upon the workings and mishandlings of the mind, as well as the soul.

i still believe the it's lots of psychology at play in those situations, kind of a placebo effect... if a person thinks the someone can help them, then they probably can... since i don't believe in ghost or spirits, then they don't exist to me... i've spent nights at "haunted" places around the US, and some of the people with me were total believers... while they swear up and down they seen and felt things, i never did, not even once.... thats why i think it's a psychosomatic type deal, the more they wanted to believe, the more they saw....

Never say never..MMoe! I think Crystal explained it pretty well. The angels and so called good spirits/deities would need the person to enable them access to their body in order to possess as in going into a trance to do specific things that they are there for.

Have you ever heard of 'spontaneous movements during meditation'? In our field of meditation, it is believed that the deities/angels/spirits are assisting in your meditation. A guy once witnessed this and declared that it is all fake and he doesn't believe it. He was challenged to sit, and when he did, he went into a 'frenzy' of movements that he could not control..... he never dared challenge the deity again.

If not for the exorcisms, there would be many more who would have died without a logical explanation by the doctors in the death certificate. I have seen too many cases to not believe.

Solomon described 72 Demons/Deities, as Angels and also Legions. Crowley, A. (ed.), The Goetia: The Lesser Key of Solomon the King (1904). .... portion was labelled "Liber Malorum Spirituum seu Goetia", and the . and demons were paired with those of the 72 angels of the Shemhamphorasch, who were intended to protect the conjurer and control the demons he summoned.

you also have to remember in Solomon's times, they had a god for just about everything,and demons opposite the gods... anything they couldn't explain was wrote off by a god or a demons actions... science can now explain events that they had no explanation for...

and i am at the opposite end of that spectrum... i've looked for the supernatural and found it not so "super", seeing nothing... i won't doubt your beliefs, but for me to believe, i would need to see something at least...

And science have also been unable to explain some events..... and I believe some scientific explanations can and has been challenged. The supernatural is something that is 'unexplainable', you have got to see it to believe it. And until you do see it, I understand how you can be skeptical about it. But for those of us who have, you will no longer doubt it.

just because science doesn't have a valid answer doesn't mean a god or a demon did it, just means we need to learn more...
