and push clear fluids if nausea. Yes on propping up with pillows for weezing. Should see a doctor...

Maybe....if you strap 85 poultices to your rear, and slip into yoga pants. Oh..parsley can help relax your airway (bronchials) if they are tight. Man, I fight taking anything I have to ingest. Blasted nausea, 'round the clock. All I can do to take water to get pills down. Pitiful, I know :-) So, can one get a mustard poultice from the pharmacy? Or will they look at me and tell me to go back to the Dickens novel I so obviously just escaped from? They are easy to make. http://tipnut.com/mustard-plaster/ hahahahahahaha Made me laugh :-) They say to put on a layer of lard after to stop the burning. |

Just a thought soufie, if you lieing down a lot, keep yourself propped up as much as you can comfortably so your chest doesn't build up secretions. Ya, very hard to sit upright, tho I am trying (by sitting at my desk here) but tis hard to keep me eyes open. I see the smartness of that tho. I saw you said you were wheezing, really you should see a doctor, you might need a salbutamol nebuliser and antibiotics, especially If you start coughing up gunk. I know it's hard to sit upright, have you got a v pillow? They prop you up but more comfortable. |

I wish it were $5/visit! Hope you are staying hydrated and wheezing doesn't sound good. I hope you decide to see a doctor |

Still super punky.
And company coming in 2 days..for a week. They will only see my feet peeking out of the covers. Have wheezed since day 1, no gunk, all clear so far. Got down some applesauce. How to force your tummy to accept something it knows will cause nausea? Almost went to the hospital yesterday. But I was afraid they would sequester me nasal spray :-( |

I had to have all these on Friday in hospital. |

I hope you decide to see a doctor When I visited my niece in Alberta, Canada, in about 1991, she went on and on about how a visit to the Dr. in Canada was only $5 per time. But everyone came to the states for operations. Was wondering if that still stood. Ya, I drink lots of water, ice-cold seems to help. I would go the Dr. if I thought they could do more for me than I can. |

While I do not crave the fluids, which would help, I am keeping up with them. Thanks for your concern :-) |

I had a cold last month and it is still lingering. Only truly sick for a few days. |

So sorry to hear you have been sick, and hope you get well soon, Soufie!
Reading from what you wrote "Ya, I drink lots of water, ice-cold seems to help", but with flu and wheezing symptoms....liquid taken should always be warm or as hot as you can take it. I hope that your taking 'ice cold' has not aggravated your condition and made your recovery difficult. |

But the fever keeps me sweating so anything hot I simply cannot take. |

But the fever keeps me sweating so anything hot I simply cannot take. You are supposed to keep cool externally when you are having a fever, not take cold drinks ! Aircond is ok and a circulating fan, but not the fan directly at you! And sweating is your body's natural reflex to keep you cool. You will feel so much better after sweating, but make sure you dry the sweat and don't catch a chill. Hope you are taking your food and liquids sensibly..... that fever can addle your brain ! Get well soon |

I do feel addled. |

Thanks for your concern :-) Hi soufie I had i/v cyclixine, and just I/v saline in hospital, but on a regular basis I have i/m injections from my g.p, called stemitil, both great anti emetics by injection. I cant keep the tablets down. Keep up the fluids!! |
