Raven, there's plenty of fight left in the dog, just need some time to prove it. This dog even as old as I am can keep up with the young litters.

Probably wise, my friend!

So...in reference to the post, I'm still curious why guys (and gals) pull the vanishing act rather than tie up loose ends. No one has really explained that....

Awwww yeah a good post and soo true it is not just men but women do it as well.

Beside why not be honest at least let the other one have some kind of closer so they can move on.bigsmile

Well, I believe the honest answer Raven, would be, that there was no attraction between the two, so they move on to the next one, or there just wasn't a one night stand involved just so the guy can get his jollies off. Honestly, I have never been one of those guys...because I have been the one rejected for what reasons not known, I don't let it bother me. If it's because I don't look like Brad Pitt or George Clooney, I'm sorry I am just me. Take me for who I am, and for what I can give. If it's got to do with looks or money, I guess you are looking for the wrong dog in the window.

not sure it has anything to do with how you look

Doing that don’t necessary make things better. The person affected by this needs to toughen up! We live in a cruel world and not everyone do the nicer approach to every situation and one must be prepared for such. Better to know the person you think you know well, behave this way, now, than sometime later in the relationship……so good riddens to him! After all it is only a guy, not a life threatening situation.

It is like a couple that meets and the guy went home and e-mailed the sheila some lame excuse to end the relationship. She kick a fuss about that and called him all sorts of names for his poor approach but if the guy tells her that he is not attracted to her because she is fat, will that make her happier? No! Sometimes, guys or those who does stuff like this have reasons, some, maybe it is not worth knowing.

Tell your friend, tomorrow is a new day, someone better will come along and make her smile again. The man that made her sad will soon be a thing of the past and only she can make that happen!

Then tell me Joyce, what would it be...? I treat a woman with the utmost respect. I treat her with kindness, courtesy, politeness, affection, romantics, and all the things I thought a woman wants. I don't drive a nice car, although it is a family van, but hey, it's my way of getting back and forth to my job that pay the bills and I have a respectable job. I'm not rich, but then again money can't buy love or happiness. I'm bumfuddled to what it is.

Good points, sin.

I agree that you are better off knowing...and the earlier the better.

I'm happy to report she is already back in the sadle, but had a hard time because it was her first heart break since the divorce. NOW she informs the guys up front she wants them to be hoenst and TELL her if it ain't happening...then happy trails!

you have not found the right woman

i do not know what it is...
sometimes i wonder--i mean you see people you think are
very attractive by themselves and you see people you
would classify as not attractive with someone--
not about looks
some women like bad boys or something
not sure

Wolfeyes – material stuff is not love and if you found yourself a sheila that passes you by because you are not what they are looking for whatever reason, maybe she is not worth pursuing and get you all stressed out. lol. Not every person we meet for love is for us. You don’t have to explain, let them accept you for you.

I agree "honesty" is good even if the truth hurts but chasing for answers is a waste of time in some cases. Better to use that energy on the one affected by a situation like this post.

You are Wolf....I appreciate your insights. flowerforyou

Sharing our experiences and understanding the mistakes of the past is very healthy. I agree....don't linger, but take time to learn.

I'd love to try to help decide what happened, but I need more details about their relationship to even begin. All I can suggest at this time is that she call him and ask what the problem is. The guy could even be in jail, or worse. She really needs to call him from what im hearing.
