Never seen anyone ask about this... do you have a problem when your partner wears glasses?
And how bout him/her needing reading glasses? Do you find that off-putting or endearing? I myself prefer if he doesn't, and yes, feel a tad awkward admitting that.. I don't wear glasses, had contacts for years, then got my eyes lasered. Cos of that, I don't need reading glasses just yet. Bluddy close to it, but not yet.. How do you feel 'bout this? And yeah, we all know the blabla about personality over looks. But.. if you could choose ... be honest!!! |

I definitely prefer people without glasses.

I wear glasses for reading but I've never really thought about it in all honesty.
Some girls suit them, but then again I do like that secretary look |

Something about glasses can be delightful. It can tell a lot about a person by the type of glasses a person wears. While clothing changes daily (we hope) Glasses fill a function. And the choice of style (to me)you choose to live with speaks clearly to me. My vote, glasses Ya. |

hmmmm.....never thought of glasses as being "off putting".....they are a part of who that person is.....would you have the same reaction if they had dentures.....braces....or hearing aids?? I personally think they are sexy, but then again I'm single now, I wonder if they are the reason???........hmmmm

Well, golly, I have no issues with anyone being able
to see better with glasses. When I was 8, and got my first pair of glasses, they were pale blue wings, luminescent, with silver running through the arms, stood out a mile and I was most cool with that. My sister, vanity is thy name, had to have contact lenses at the getgo. She never considered glasses. There have been times I did not wear them..like High School. People thought I was stuck up. Whereas, I just never saw them. Years later people would tell me I just looked through them. My squeeze looks magnificent in them, like he just stepped off the pages of GQ. I have also met people who have said 'You never mentioned you wore glasses.' Why would I? Why would anyone? They are a gift for the times in which we live. |

I personally think they are sexy, but then again I'm single now, I wonder if they are the reason???........hmmmm You kidding? Why do you think contacts are so popular? When I needed glasses as a teen girl, I thought my life was over... Sure there were some popular girls with glasses, but none of the girls that guys drooled over had glasses. Can't remember any of the popular guys having glasses either ... As soon as I could talk my parents into it, I got contacts. Also, why do you think many girls/women (possibly men as well) don't wear their glasses when they go out? Funny thing is, you can always tell, as their eyes focus differently, because they're used to the glasses. So they'd prolly look better with than without their glasses.. Ppl wouldn't feel that way if glasses weren't generally perceived as 'less attractive'. Not being judgmental, just how this 'vanity' thing works. My ex had dentures, not at first, but needed them later on. I didn't mind, they looked better than his own teeth. But I didn't particularly fancy seeing him without his dentures... Someone with a hearing aid... wouldn't be keen on that either. Often they still don't hear properly, speak really loud. I had to work with deaf/ and or ppl with impaired hearing a couple of times.. doesn't work for me. I lack the patience for repeating myself all the time |

I've worn glasses since I was in the first grade. I never paid attention to who was popular or not in school. None of my friends cared that I wore them, and this was back in the day when I wore the thick coke-bottle ones.
I don't care whether others wear glasses or not, and my GF doesn't care that I do. |

I always hated mine
I was very insecure as a kid, very low self-esteem, as I'd been bullied for some 6 years, so then you get that kind of chit. Finally the bullying had stopped, then I needed glasses. No one ever mentioned it, but I felt extremely self-conscious about it. Came to hate them as a teen girl. None of the pretty & popular girls had glasses. Plus the inconvenience.. steamed up glasses, rain & snow on 'em, sweaty on your nose when it's hot. They're in the way when you kiss. I was SO glad I got contacts when I was 16!! And even happier when I could afford to have my eyes lasered when I was 34. And I know it won't really matter when you fall in love whether he has glasses or not, my ex had glasses in the end, and I didn't stop loving him because of it. But I prefer someone without .. |

Its funny I wore glasses all through school. Was called pop eyes and four eyes and bottle caps lol! I wanted contacts so bad! I would never ask my parents though. They did the best they could. So finally I got the money to get myself contacts and I wore them about six months when I saw on TV how glasses were the sexiest new accessory.
I don't mind If my partner wears them or not.... |
