More Than Words Saying I love you Is not the words I want to hear from you It's not that I want you Not to say, but if you only knew How easy it would be to show me how you feel More than words is all you have to do to make it real Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me Cos I'd already know What would you do if my heart was torn in two More than words to show you feel That your love for me is real What would you say if I took those words away Then you couldn't make things new Just by saying I love you More than words Now I've tried to talk to you and make you understand All you have to do is close your eyes And just reach out your hands and touch me Hold me close don't ever let me go More than words is all I ever needed you to show Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me Cos I'd already know What would you do if my heart was torn in two More than words to show you feel That your love for me is real What would you say if I took those words away Then you couldn't make things new Just by saying I love you More than words |

Wow Rapunzel I tend to view the word love more as a true I" I love You " statement many use it in place of like but to me that chepens it. And yes actions do tell a lot more about anothers thoughts and feelings than words do but, sometimes it is still good to hear.

I like to tell people that I love them..
I don't think that love is cheapened when it is spread so generously... and, a real deep committed love is expressed in many ways & with action. We all have different views on life & love and what is approprate in our expressions... My Family who is Italian Sicilian, has always been very demonstrative in our affections... That is how we are...We love to the fullest... We don't hold back...Life is too short... We never know how long we are going to have someone, so we need to seize the moment and make them feel loved right now, because we may not have another chance... Love ang hugs to all |

Hey fellow writer, that was real good and came from the heart from true feelings...but you know sometimes hearing those three magical words is always great too. That's one of the many reasons why my wife and I grew away from each other. She felt like I was smothering her either way. With affection or saying I love you. I'm the kind of guy that likes to hear those three words and not just know you love me but to hear them with meaning. Nothing against your poem it was great.

Wolf Eyes...New friend...Of course...I agree with you that it is so nice to hear someone tell you I love you & really mean it.
It is absolutely essential for true living, as far as I am concerned... Maybe some people always been given love, some are spoiled to the point of being rotten; maybe they tend to take for granted the love given to them from their husband or wife when it is so abundantly and freely given.. They do not appreciate the best things in life and have their priorities all wrong... and so... maybe they do not appreciate it as much as someone else might, where love came less often... I don't know...Just speculation... There are always exceptions to every rule, or opinion... it seems... And different cultures express love differently too... My Ex Husband my children's Dad who has passed on almost 7 years ago...when he was only 49... Well...He was of Swedish German English backround... His parents were not affectionate anyway & also the culture... I have found that many people from the northern european countries seem to be much more reserved in their display of affections moreso than some of the other nationalities and tribes...but again, that is all different from person to person.....so many variations on a theme...to be considered. We are all so different & so many factors are included that add to the brilliance of this exquisite diamond we call life |

And at such a lovely time of day, I see. It's always a compliment to hear from you.. Yes, it is a special song, in a lot of ways... And has very sad memories, too... but, I won't tell you those , cause I don't want to wreck your good memories of it When I was scrolling down the messages and came upon yours, I could hear your deep voice speak the words! I'm serious! |
