The only thing I ever taught my kids was that if they were gonna do it, to at least do it safe. Telling your kids to wait till they've met 'the one' is the most stupid advice you can give them.
Teenage years and teen/adolescent relationships are meant to find out what you do and do not like in a partner and relationships, how you yourself work in a relationship etc etc. Skipping that isn't smart, it'll sneak up on you later on in life. Discovering sex is part of that too.
Apart from that you definitely wanna know if you match sexually before you say "I do".
