Rather than listen to Moore, I'll lend an ear to Jeff Crenshaw...With a 20 career in the U.S. Marine Corp under his belt, Crenshaw served part of this time as a Marine Corp sniper...He had this to say about Eastwood's "American Sniper" movie..."It shows the true nature of war. How awful it is. And the toll it takes on a human being. I mean, it just changes you."...Crenshaw calls the movie the most realistic thing he's seen since the battlefield...To disparage ANY man or woman who is willing to risk everything to serve and protect is lower than whale chit...BUT, any person, most especially those who have served, who supports Moore's tactics in spite of his obvious disrespect and lack of personal knowledge of that for which he speaks is a person I have a hard time understanding....

Two sides on every coin. Moore was making referance to his uncle being killed by a sniper. He probably should have kept his mouth shut. Anyway...I haven't seen this movie, and probably won't. We like to have heroes. It makes war palletable. There are no heroes. No winners and losers. Only the living and the dead.Have you ever been on the business end of a sniper's work? If you were...would you think,"Wow, is he ever brave! What a hero"! Two sides on every coin. Out. |

Good morning Pancho ...Agree, there are two side to every story and BOTH of them should be presented honestly....Moore never does this...You're right, Moore should have kept his big mouth shut as he tarnishes the honor of those who serve, the memory of those who gave their life to serve and his uncle's memory...We???...Who the hell is we chief?...As far as I'm concerned, nothing can make war palatable and I wonder about your choice of words....I know you are just dying for me to ask you if you have ever been on the business end of a sniper's work...I'm pretty sure I already know the answer though...And no offense, but you have no idea if I have been on the other side or what I would think if that was/is the case...Peace.... |

http://thelibertarianrepublic.com/heres-hilarious-letter-green-beret-wrote-michael-moore-suggested-snipers-cowards/
Mr. Moore- Good afternoon there sweetheart, I hope this finds you alive and well. You can thank our men and women of the armed forces for that, by the way, and that also includes us cowardly snipers. It seems you've found time between licking the jelly off your fingers and releasing your grasp of a bear claw to tweet some junk about snipers being cowards. My buddies and I got a good laugh over the tweet, so I thank you. For a guy worth $50 million dollars, you sure have quite a bit to ***** and cry about. I guess like a moth to flame, you too gravitate towards things that are popular and in the moment in this case it's snipers. Too bad for you that your attempt at being relevant via your 70+ year old family experience has failed. It has only made you look dumber than a bag of hammers. Next time you should try something more original than going after snipers for one reason or another…that was so last month. Its typical of men like you to criticize the intestinal fortitude, focus, discipline and patriotism of a sniper. It must stem from an inferiority complex or something. But hey, it's okay cupcake. We snipers are thick skinned and the efforts of world class turds such as yourself to portray us in a negative light only makes us laugh. If you and I were in the same room, Id throw you a smile and gently pat you on the head knowing you're nothing more than a mouth breathing, Crisco sweating waste of space not even worthy of being in the presence of a sniper. It's almost funny how people like you preach things like acceptance and not passing judgement or labeling people, but then are the first to do so when a person is in some way dissimilar from you. So tenderfoot, I leave you with this final thought: what if you found yourself in some sort of hostage situation where you were held at knife-point by some crazed person and they were dead set on making an example of you by bleeding you out on Hollywood Blvd in front of the world, and the only way out was with the precision aimed fire of a sniper? Would you want that coward to take the shot? Because knowing how you feel about snipers such as myself and your hatred of firearms, I'd probably drop the mag, roll the bolt and go get a Jack & Coke before helping you out. Very Respectfully, Sikes |

If you have a loved one killed by a Sniper you may not be so quick to join in on the 'what a hero' bandwagon. I dont understand all the ado over a personal tweet referring to a personal experience and feeling about a certain 'career' is about anyway we love to make news out of non news,,,, |

I totally agree here. If you have a loved one killed by a Sniper you may not be so quick to join in on the 'what a hero' bandwagon. If your loved one is a terrorist killed by a military sniper or an armed criminal killed by a police sniper in order to save a hostage, then either you (openly or silently) acknowledge the need for the sniper's action, or you are in denial. I dont understand all the ado over a personal tweet referring to a personal experience and feeling about a certain 'career' is about anyway
we love to make news out of non news,,,, If Michael Moore were not notorious for fabricating things in his films, then he would be a non-story. |

Who was Chris Kyle?...This is what I discovered...
He was a man who served his country for 20 years...A Navy Seal sniper credited with 160 enemy kills who trained or was deployed in war zones for more than 300 days a year during his service as a Seal...His work involved going into harms way and fighting an enemy determined to take his life...A sniper who operates "behind" enemy lines has one of the most dangerous and demanding jobs in special ops...Those operating in Iraq, Afghanistan and a host of other terrorist riddled countries crawl on hands and knees making their way through treacherous war-zone terrain for hours just to reach their assigned position undetected, ALIVE....Once there, they are often required to stay in position for days on end waiting for follow-up orders...When snipers neutralize a known threat, they are saving the lives of their teammates, other military personnel and innocent civilians...Moore has a right to say whatever he wants and that is in large part thanks to men like Chris Kyle...It's unfortunate that Moore does not have the moral fiber needed to stick to the facts....Even more unfortunate is his total lack of respect the men and women who risk their lives every day to keep him safe and "well fed"... Chris Kyle is an AMERICAN HERO credited with saving countless lives... |

^^^^ I love it when she gets all up in arms...
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even Big Mike... I have a serious problem when someone comes out with "Snipers are Cowards in theaters of war" Then couple days later of brewing anger, he comes out with... "Well I didn't mean a coward coward, it's just that I have an uncle that got shot up by one" IMO true stupidity As if Tank commanders are cowards because they're protected by armor... Or Fighter pilots are cowards because they dropping 1000lbs bombs on sorry arses from the sky....Absolute nonsense, it's a freakin war for petes sakes. FWIW... I'm anti war... and now Anti-MIKE! |
