Topic: Are we just too intimidating? | |

hi Harry and Miguel!

I had to sell most of my power tools - moving to an apartment.
TLW - Teddy Bears? Look even poor Abra is intimidated, he's raising his hand to indicate it. Oh, never mind, that always happens in the presence of a goddess, like Bl8ant. Hillfolk - I just wanted to say, I really appreciate you sharing that much of yourself with us. Imagine if there was no internet, how sheltered you would still be. Later folks, have to get some work done. |

I think one thing that has made me less intimidating concerning the social religious and spiritual meetings that I attend is the concept of 'when in Rome do as the Romans do'. For instance, at my church the men and women will shake hands. At my AA meetings the men and women will gather in a circle holding hands. At my NA meetings we all gather in a group hug and then men and women hug each other indiscriminately. I have noticed different mores and customs concerning such. I guess each to their own. I find culture to be fascinating and normal to be a real outrageous concept.

That's an interesting observation Roy. At my BDSM meetings we hump each other's leg.
Where did Alex go? She was supposed to meet me here for crumpets and tea. |

Crumpet
============================================================== Crumpets are generally circular though long and square varieties also exist. They have a distinctive flat top covered in small pores and a resilient, slightly spongy texture. Crumpets alone are bland and generally eaten hot with a topping (usually butter). Other popular accompaniments include jam, Marmite, marmalade, honey, peanut butter, cheese, golden syrup, or Vegemite (Australia). ============================================================== |

Hi everyone. Guess what! Someone gave me three bags of apples, all home grown. Don't have much time, so what to do with them. When they're home grown, they spoil faster, worms you know. I gave some away, but still had a bunch - so today
I made apple-saucey-butter. Ok it was supposed to be applebutter, but I've never made that. So I guessed. BUT it's fabulous on toast, and has bits of apple still in it. so I imagine it would be great with crumpets. If you don't like cinnomon, you wont like it. But if you do, not only did I use fresh cin. sticks, but at the end I threw in a bunch of little cinnomon candies. MMMM it's glorious. I have lots, would love to share. I also like honey on my, just the way Jess describes. I especially love the honey with comb. Don't know why, it just seems -- mm-- better. |
