Topic: Why are women so mean to themselves?

I'm guessing this rule was invented in the Christian era. Men must've really suffered back then. The pagan era was much more fun and interesting. I enjoy making men suffer.....I'm happy if I'm happy....

Which is probably why poetry was so popular back then. You can feel the anguish, the torment in each poem. Milton, for example, was always harping on about nymphs. what about Song of Solomon?

THAT double standard will always exist, but the fact is sleeping with a guy on the first or the twenty-first date won't matter to him if he likes you...Men are weak that way ...Games like holding out to keep the challenge alive seem kind of desperate to me...If the decision to knock boots on the first date comes "expectation free", the day after should not be a problem,,,,,no matter how he reacts ...And hey, why would any woman want to date a guy with double standards?... Don't we deserve better than that? ... yes when you find it, also please find out if he has a brother

Why are women so mean to themselves ?? Well, we just love to suffer - that just has to be the answer. It's not like we are able to think for ourselves and make decisions for ourselves ........... Pleasure in a sexual way, for women - is all bound up with feelings. Emotions that are brought out by 'knowing, liking and trusting' the other person. Lesson over

They deny themselves the pleasure of having sexual intercourse on first dates just because of some unwritten rule that says they're cheap if they do. They care more about what people think than having fun in life. It's completely insane because we only get one life. They are like slaves, its so sad. "Do what thou will shall be the whole of the law." i wouldn't call it being mean to myself...just kinda like getting to know a guy a little better...not denying pleasure...just prolonging it if he's worth my time..

But "having fun" on first date with someone who�s not special for me would be just boring and nonsatisfying. Why should I do it then?

The reason I don't is because then a guy may just use me for that and I don't like that idea. I think sex is special. Do I believe you need to wait till marriage? Hell no- thats one of the biggest reasons for Divorce: no sexual compatibility.... But it still shouldn't happen for a few months if not a year of regular dates and maybe after meeting the family of the other person.

...and stds, and pregnancy, and the vulnerable, and dangerous position with someone they dont know very well. You do realise the difference between men and womens biggest fear on a first date, yes? men: She wont look like her pic. women: He will kill her. So lots more to think about really than the stigma of being considered tawdry. Agreed. Its a very dangerous game to go home with someone on the first date without knowing more about them. You could catch some disease or worse yet; they may end up killing you. Lots of criminals and killers out and about. You should always be cautious of who you meet.
