Topic: Would you be intimidated by a capable woman??

In the office.... when she is the one going up the corporate ladder instead of you
On the road.... when a fast car overtakes you and you find it is a woman and she is not even driving a sports car
In a trade.... if she is better with the hammer than you/ better at cars & repairs/ better at mechanics/ etc..

Do you allow this to affect your relationship, or will you not even consider a relationship?

Or do you just prefer a woman who is totally dependent on others!

I don't go up ladders. I'm afraid of heights.

Better that she get a speeding ticket instead of me.

In a trade.... if she is better with the hammer than you/ better at cars & repairs/ better at mechanics/ etc..

In a trade? Does this mean that I can trade her in?

Do you allow this to affect your relationship, or will you not even consider a relationship?

As long as she makes the "ship" the Love Boat, not the Titanic.

Or do you just prefer a woman who is totally dependent on others!

Let the woman go work outside the home. I'm happy being a house-husband.

I don't think intimidated is the right word.

There's capable and then there's "type A". If there's no time because of always being on call or overtime then that would be pretty hard.

It does get to that.....being on call and lots of overtime, and endless ceaseless work! So much so that calling it quits was the only option.

I hate generalisation.

Many people tend to judge others only with the perspective of who they themselves are....I mean, with their own inferiority complex ruling their mind.

They don't even try to understand that everyone can't be same....may it be men or women.

How unfair it would be, if a lady boss with such complex is treating harshly her male assistants!

How disgusting it would be, if a male boss with similar or even worse complex is treating his female assistants!!

If she can outdo me , I'm fine with it but that would not be an easy thing. Not from a competitive point of view , but from life outside of the internet .

Yeah...hate that too whether it is a lady or a male boss who treats their assistants badly! I have had both types of bosses and you either stand up to them, or 'fire' them! But I find that some bosses do appreciate it when you voice out.... and you might even find that things get better after that.

What do you mean by 'life outside of the internet'??

And if she does outdo you.... because she is actually better than you in reality, but she just didn't want to 'outshine' you, would you be 'insulted' instead?

Being of the fairer sex myself, pro'ly not. I'd admire capability from either gender. As long as neither cross the line to become high and mighty, things can work out.

op a long time ago I can only think of one women boss ...
she did not like me although
I tried to do every thing she asked of me ...
and in my thinking I loved her boss lol he was really cool and older
so about that time he took me under is wing and started showing me more to learn what I had to do ... he was a more understanding person with no ego ...so that meant I learn the job a lot faster and way better then under her ... would i not date anyone that did not know as much as I do with certain things ... all depends on what it was he did not know ... and what kind of attitude he had ... and Dodo_David
lmao ...

I feel most comfortable around strong independant women. Its the meek, shy, and needy ones that make me nervous.
