i tried it already.
just a thought. most women above average in physical attractiveness have had hounds sniffin after them since before they were teens. they may've been underweight, overweight, and just perfect at different points over the years by the time they've reached 30, not unlike many movie stars and sex symbols. i look a little like julia roberts, but i'm prettier with bigger ta-tas. mom thinks i look like marilyn monroe, maybe norma jean.. i hope to not meet her end, looking for love, desired by all. another friend thinks i look like uma thurman and sometimes jennifer lopez. gotta little angelina jolie, but i weigh more than 97 lbs. i'm anna nicolish on a thinner day and a better dye job. bless her soul.. it's just me. i'm tired of selling myself exclusively on my looks. i don't always attract the greater in man get to know me. be a friend. out of two years spent on another dating site with message boards and all with many profile pics, i posted. one man didn't treat me like a piece of ass, maybe two. i would've given him my whole self. he treated me wholly. and the other guy, he stepped away respectfully. the rest, were just too focused on my appearance. i became a target. a weekend of roofies and whiplash somewhere in there. i stopped trusting any of them anyhow. beautiful and lonely is not really where i want to go. one, it took only one to see me, or pretend to see me, give me the illusion, understanding, whatever, that i was more. |

ak0 -- I'm with you on this one. I'm 5'0 tall and 100lb; I'm small. My friends say I'm very pretty (both men and women). My last relationship I feel, was strongly about my looks. My guy never saw my heart, my soul or my spirit. I'm 53 yrs old (don't look it); and without sounding self-centered, I have a better body than most women my age (I've never had kids so nothing is sagging). I'm sick of the games; I'm still a work-in-process and still teachable. Look at the person as a whole -- not what it's wrapped in.

I dont think one needs a pic on this site for the most part, folks here judge u by whats inside instead of the physical looks!!!

I really hope so. It's nice to be taken seriously. What does it matter what I look like. I get up each morning determined to be the best person I possibly can be for that day.

a lot of us use interesting pics just for fun to set a mood or send (subliminal) messages (sex) about what they are thinking (also sex) or what they are actually doing (drooling on the keyboard) or even who they are (desperate stalkers) or who they want you to think they are (god)

It works both ways believe me. How else can one interpret the fact that a guy without a photo gets almost no replies...unless of course he indicates how financially secure he is? Another thought...maybe looks are all you have, despite what you may think...you couldn't pass a grade 6 english test, if your post is any indication. You may have a warm, true heart but that will never "post".

looks play a very important part for me when choosing at mate. it's the very first step in chemical attraction. I prefer slim, petite woman, other wise i just don't get sexually aroused.
So the point i'm saying here is that i don't respond to women who have no picture on thier profile. Reason why, becuase too many have lied to me about thier apperance, and when i met them in person it was uncomfortable having to politly bow out. |

Evey Hammond: Who...who are you?
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what. And what I am, is a man in a mask. Evey Hammond: I can see that. V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is. |

Taboo -- I'm not saying your wrong. I've been lied to also. You have to follow your experiences and some of us feel we have to play it safe.

Most people are too damned concerned about looks -- looks are important to a degree (a small degree) -- but people's values, prorities, gentleness, etc. are far more attractive than the package it's wrapped in.

Some may take offense at this but I'm going to tell it with the bark off.
I'm afraid I've seen the other side. I'fve tried the blind dates and usually end up with the frogettes with no personality. I've found Michigan avg to be quite heavy. Don't get me wrong I don't mind a few extra pounds, but I would like to carry my wife over the threshold or out into the lake hoaving some fun with her if the relationship gets to that point. I've had heavy girlfriends in the past and all they eem to want to do is sit on the couch. No walk in the woods, no climbing ladders no DH skiing. Also if things actually progress to a long term relationship "Marrage" How will the creating a family dynamics work? When I see a blue box 9 chances out of 10 I tend to pass it by,m but once in awhile I'll take a chance. found most of the time I've regretted it. It's nice to find out that not all blue boxes are low activity heavy gals. my 2 cents |

john1992 -- I agree with you and take no offense. I've been on the other side too. There are a lot of hot guys on this site, but if I based relationships (intimate or just friends) on looks alone, I'd be one shallow person. Yes, the physical is needed and a plus, but that alone doesn't make a relationship.
