Hey Mo...

But when I'm not craftin... I LOVE the Hummmingbirds here...they land on my fingers & perch to drink from my feeders... I've yet to experience anything as awesome!! but..thats me. lol On the brightside...It's only 1 1/2 hour drive from Louisville, KY when ya wanta go dancin... my younger sis & her boys live there...she's in KY's all female motorcycle club...very cool.. Smiles 2 ya Nubi |

Hi, just thought I'd throw my two cents in. The people from tx are
right. It's great around the Dallas/Fort Wort area. with the exception of the humidity. cost of living is cheap & there is plenty of diversity. I recently moved from cali, which is great too but the cost of living is way too high. ever thought about portland, or? It's a little on the colder side so not sure if that'd work for you. but its diverse and close to the ocean, as well as mountains. just some suggestions. |

I am in Arizona and it is freaking hot!!! But the winters are nice, If
you go up north a little it is so nice all year round. Phoenix is growing a lot but again up north is small and quiet just a couple hours away from the big city. I was in NC for a few years and LOVED IT |

Well being born & raised pretty much in the same location (Norcross near
85) since 1964 (I'm 42) & I even work for the county always loved & swore I'd never leave Georgia .... but guess what? In 9 years I'm retiring & getting the hell out of GA !! I'm thinking Charlotte, NC or Columbus, IN; both are really nice but Charlotte will be another Atlanta in 15 years but Columbus,...nah; it's awesome. I HATE to see what the policitians have allowed Atlanta to become; it's all about money, power & pure selfishness.. not the people that live here, their kids, education, etc.... I'm very ashamed of Atlanta/Georgia in general. I will say that Atlanta has proven that we're just not some slow 20 years laid back city/state but then again not one damn policitian here has any BALLS !! |

i wouldn't mind moving to colorado but i don't know if it would be a
good idea if you don't like the cold |

I know what you mean about Atlanta. I moved from Gainesville Ga. a
little over a year and a half ago. I am now living in Alabama and loving it. It's growing here too, but not as bad as Georgia. It got so bad in Ga. I hated going anywhere on the weekends, because I hated fighting the traffic. Alabama is great...we live on Lake Logan Martin...pretty country living....and only 25 miles from Birmingham. |

I'm for the Portland, Oregon area, you would have to deal with the
winter, but the nortwest is about the best place i'd say you could live. I've been to about 40 of the 50 states, and i've always came back to the northwest. Theres so much to do, you have windsurfing, snowboarding, hiking, the beach, good clubs, great jobs... The best part is the westcoast is so laid back compaired to the east coast. Theres alot of cultural diversity. Coast of living isn't to high, if if you live in vancouver and work in washington (which is just across the river from portland, oregon), then you get the benifits of not having to pay sales tax in oregon, and since you would be working in washington you don't have to pay a state tax, its about the best damn setup you can have. Plus on top of all that, the surrounding area is beautiful, you have the mountians, a very green lively area, and if you drive 45 minutes in any direction your surrounded by nature... its about the best damn place to live in my book! |
