Republicans seem to imply racism from the Cops in New York is in the minds of the "thugs" ignore that you don't have to be a thug to get it.

Black police have always faced racism among fellow ranks.

There once was great resistance to even hire Blacks. They faced daily racist harassment such as nooses hung on their locker rooms many of which were segregated. They were given the worst patrols with lower pay. They were often denied union representation therefore the first to be fired.

Three police officers who were Black were even shot and killed by police who claimed they misstook them for criminals.

Not implying that it's merely racism perceived by black cops. Racism is pretty universal. The point is that black cops, when simply being out of uniform, are also treated like criminals. It's probably either a matter of time until a black, off-duty cop gets shot for "resisting", or it's already happened, and we just haven't heard about it.

I haven't seen it here... but more in the larger cities ...
white cops not liking black cops... but not becouse their black its the training schools take in more white ...then black... I heard a very long time ago ... personally should be 1/2 and 1/2 picked or as I said before certain district with a black neighborhood be all blacks

Some would say that filling positions based on race in any situation is just as racist.

Again, though, the point is not about the color of the cops, but rather their behavior toward people of color. Maybe, too, is the issue of poor training for law enforcement, where they think it's acceptable to use illegal choke holds, or immediately resort to deadly force before ascertaining the scope of the situation. The 911 call says "black man waving a gun" so the cops roll up and jump out shooting. See what's wrong, there?

Happy newyear everyone. I saw a story about this white man who had a black son. The story was about things an places the white dad could go an do that his black son could not do or go.
