Too bad. "Old Malcolm", as you call him, seems to be the first intelligence coming out of a "government" figure, especially Australian, in many a year. LOL, I have no doubt you actually believe that. Yeah, I really do, that is why I posted it. I wonder just what is going to happen when it is discovered "Old Malcolm" had truth in those words? LOL, that won't happen. Another true statement, that wont happen, but that still does not negate "Old Malcolm's" words. |

I don't blame the Aussies! The way the current US government are going, they'll end up with NO allies! These United States will always have allies even if we have to bomb it out of them. Bombing countries into submission, doesn't make you friends, only enemies! I don't see China, doing that, eh? That's why they're rated and the States are hated by people around the globe. That gung-ho attitude will be your downfall in the end. Please, these united States have been trying to get rid of the British since 1776 but they just keep coming back like a bad disease. Yes, the US government is hated by people around the world including internally. They have no fans whatsoever. But as to the attitude being the downfall, I'm counting on it. The only question is which domino will start the show, England? Japan? Germany? Hey, these times are a gonna get interesting. As Einstein once said, "don't know what WWIII will be fought with, but WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones." Wonder if he was right? |

Well it seems that quite a few, but not enough, of your countrymen agree with me. Too bad there wasn't more, would have only been appropriate. And just what are you capable of explaining to me? Doesn't seem to be this topic. An individuals teachability, or their ability to learn by way of being taught by someone else, is extremely dependent upon the open-mindedness or close-mindedness of the individual being taught. Low teachability derives from arrogance and rigid skepticism, but also from naivet and gullibility. High teachability derives from a balance between healthy skepticism and an open-minded willingness to learn and change. Conversely, the one trying to teach is bound by the same concept and until they develop the ability to learn, they neigh have the ability to teach. Human beings should consider with great care their sources for information. By refusing to present certain information, and by influencing people to dismiss certain information as unimportant or unnecessary to consider, many modern institutions seek to control human perceptions and therefore to limit what human beings may come to understand. |

I don't think this is the case here.....and hearing nothing on this in the local media.....from what I understand we like to spread our friendships widely....even to China one our major trading partners..... our biggest danger is just to to the north.....Indonesia.....the average Aussie has known for many years that Indos don't like us...( sorry to any indos here)this stretches back to the 70s when a bunch of journalists were murdered there.....and yet our young continue to treat places like Bali as their drunken playground.... 150 million people vs 26 million.....we need all the western world allies we can get.... |

The people have been trying to get rid of them since 1776. And "joined at the hip" is not how I would describe it. More like joined at the purse. And it's not so much England as the "City of London" the we need to lose. |
