Depends on the two involved. I can't see pulling up stakes and moving on the chance that a relationship with someone far away would work! But some make it happen. Anything is possible when it comes to love. If one has a good life, family ties, a job, a home, seems it would be difficult to give all that up.

On the other hand, if one travels light, with nothing to lose, would be more likely that they would take that chance.

Nope, it's a complete waste of time!! Better off with someone closer to home you can actually see and spend time with.

Sure..LDR can lead to marriage.
But so can a drunken tryst behind a dumpster.
But , I'm probably not the best to comment on this subject.
You know..BTDT.ohwell

To be honest I cant see why not, if you are willing to travel the distance & your feelings are deep enough & for long enough, then why not...

the hopes of stealing a husband for one self pale in comparison to living happy and free.

Long distance is pretty difficult... and not because it can't be done. It has to be done by two people who are honest, and serious about the relationship. They both have to work at it, they both have to want the relationship to work out, and they both have to not be talking, flirting, kissing, or cheating in any way that BOTH people believe is cheating. One person might think flirting is okay, but their partner might think, hell no it isn't!
Open communication is even more important in long distance..
It's hard when you live near each other and now you're talking about thousands of miles apart? So, make sure you are clear in communication and honest always.
Mostly, you have to have trust because, that person you are with may or may not end up being faithful.. That's the harsh truth.

And all your just wrote here is WAYYYYYYY too much for people nowadays. Instant gratification is so in these days that people have a hard time making these work.
