y do people always think that there is a certain reason she is having nightmares it could be soooo many reasons. I'm sure u do, but tell ur daughter god is next to her when she is sleeping and no matter how scary it gets, god will protect her so please don't be afraid.good luck with whatever helps her.

I had the same problem for a short time when I was a child. My mom told me to think of happy things or places before I went to sleep. It worked, along with her reading me childhood stories and saying a prayer before I had fallen asleep.

not crazy at all. we have ummm let's see....anti-monster spray, we of course check the closets and under the beds etc. make sure everyghing is ok...we have the magic nightlites too - the lava lamp kind! keeps all sorts of bad thoughts away, and dreamcatcher kits bought at michael's and oh lets see...there is always the brave super-teddy bears....

sometimes i just lie down next to them for a little while until they fall asleep. it's reassuring.

and of course lots of talk about how monsters are not real etc.
i also let them touch the displays which are out this time of year and tell them how the displays are just big toys and not real...
but you can hardly avoid them!

best of luck out there in one of my favorite places on earth!

Do you believe in Guardian Angel's?

Prayer

Angel of God
My guardian dear
through whom God's Love
commits thee here;
Ever this day (night if you want)
be at my side
to light and guard
to rule and guide.
Amen

I still say this prayer. I believe in Guardian Angels and have one without a doubt.
