Please dont delete this for being in the wrong forum (well if you have to, so be it)...but i dont think the "parenting" forum gets much views...but ANYWAY, does anyone have any creative ideas on how to help my daughter STOP having recurring nightmares????? She keeps waking up with them and I dont know what to do anymore....Please help!!

talk to her as to what the nightmare is about
look for underlying issues that may coincide with the nightmare and try to resolve those issues disclaimer this is an idea not medical advice

She says its about haunted houses and evil babies...and ppl dying...its freaking me out..

I don't know if u are a religious person or not but when I was like 10 yrs old I would have the WORST nightmares too. my mom simply said to me to ask god to please help me not have a nitemare and to watch over me...I no it sounds cheesey but I swear to this day I have not had a bad one. tell her I said good luck and I know how scary they can be. one day they will go away

Well...I just meant in general. Like...is there a bully at school? Is she stressing over something? Have you asked her about the dreams? Maybe talk to her teacher or get input from other adults that know her? |

Oh...haunted houses? Evil babies? Umm...I'd get prayer for her. And I agree with goldenstar. Tell her to talk to God about it. |

I will I have a couple of psycologysts in my building if they want heat or a/c they will talk to me

hey the best way to cure any kind of dreams is by payin attention to them and try to discover the purpose of them..Every dream,includin nightmares are tellin ya something and til you and her understands the reason for this she will continue having them...
|

hawaii did she watch something on tv or see something on tv that bothered her like a commercial for a scary movie.....
