Why does it seem interracial dating is still so taboo between white males and black women? It is acceptable the other way around but people cringe when seeing a black woman with a white guy. Let's keep the comments to this civilized because in the end we are all just people with different skin tones.

In Africa thats common.....white man with black woman and vice versa....but i personally am not into that (no pun intended)

These days, plenty of white men are willing to date black women, but there aren't enough willing black women, at least not in the USA.

When the guy is white it's acceptable but say if it was a Latino dating a white girl or a black dating a Asian or what ever combo u want to use I think it goes all they way to something called prima nochte (first night ) it's something the English lords would to bread out the native population

Ok. No in all seriousness, I agree with folks saying that it may at least partially depend on where you are. PERSONALLY, I've been on dates with men of all sorts of races, but only seriously DATED (i.e. had a relationship) with white guys. I'm a mixed 'breed' myself, but my cultural background was never passed down. I don't know if my lack of a real ingrained 'ethnic' culture has me seek more like-minded folk. But when I date black guys, or Mexicans, I just don't feel like I can relate. There's really just no connection.

in the area of the state that i'm from,interracial dating is pretty common,only it's not blacks & whites,it's whites & latinos/latinas because those are the only 2 races here

The reality of issues is that race isn't the problem.Exposure is key and a lack of knowledge is the weakness.People take time to adjust to new or different things.I don't blame or take issue with someone who isn't comfortable with my skin,behavior much less my accent.If they were more exposed they would have known better and with time they would know we are all human beings having a DNA THAT IS 99% THE SAME.

I used to go out with a black woman in the 1990's and the only stumbling block was her father. The rest of her family were ok with me, as i treated her well and took her places, but her father was just an out and out bigot, who hated white people and couldn't see his daughter happy either at the end of the day. Things reached a head one day when he picked a fight with me and i knocked him out. That was that and i ended up losing a good lassie, because of it also. I think if two people are happy, then skin colour has nothing to do with it. Just go for it?
