The reality of issues is that race isn't the problem.Exposure is key and a lack of knowledge is the weakness.People take time to adjust to new or different things.I don't blame or take issue with someone who isn't comfortable with my skin,behavior much less my accent.If they were more exposed they would have known better and with time they would know we are all human beings having a DNA THAT IS 99% THE SAME. I have no problema with the "race" of a Colombiana.

Why does it seem interracial dating is still so taboo between white males and black women? It is acceptable the other way around but people cringe when seeing a black woman with a white guy. Let's keep the comments to this civilized because in the end we are all just people with different skin tones. I tend to perceive a competition type thing that is, when white women are with black men, they get shade mostly from black women and white men who are in 'competition' and when white men are with black women, they mostly get shade from black men and white women who are in 'competition' with them

Its not my choice. I was raised stay with your race. However, I believe it is harmful to the kids- because growing up through school they will always be picked on as being salt n pepper, half n half etc etc these comments are very hurtful to children and in the long run can cause these kids a lot of grief and emotional turmoil they do not deserve but have no choice because they did not have a choice of how they were born.

GOD mad it possible for human to interact to be able to understand each other but we fail to make it easy for our self. we are all humans, and is normal to fall in love anyone.

to play devils advocate, I really don't think opposition is about anyone's feelings,, including 'love' and more so about behaviors,, namely sexual relations but GOD makes clear his acceptance of men and women committing to each other and procreating, and since race doesn't seem to interfere with that process, I find it difficult to understand how anyone could believe it was unpleasing to God

Ms harmony, I think a great deal of it is probably cultural and geographically specific. I'm in Canada. We didn't have apartheid here like there was in the states and Africa. Here, it seems primarily religious based separatism, or Christians, Muslims, other faiths, non-religious. Added to that there are also some folks who will only seek those with the same skin tone. Having said that, I've seen all kinds of different races together both as couples and married and with children. I think it has more to do with the culture we were raised in. On a funnier note, how come the straight color by color have mixed color cats and dogs? Now that's just plain weird if you ask me.
