Hmm.. okay probably will get in trouble for this..but.. what the heck..lol... I seriously hate having to invite all the members of my family to my place for Thanksgiving. Make that any holiday.now!!.. don't get me wrong. I love all of them..wink wink.. but sometimes just for the sake of my sanity I would like to just not invite certain family members..... pretty sure we all have relatives and family members that we like more than others... but at this point in my life and age I really don't feel like I need to pretend to like certain people anymore.. even if they are Blood...lol.. ya feeling me..lol.. again just want to reinforce this point I love everybody...BUT.!!.

Family is family. Good or bad we need to be gracious.

Totally get that. I'm not all that close with family, so I don't have that problem. I'm not into all kinds of family related celebrations, just not my thing.
I see the same thing with my daughter who lives in the USA. Having to drive 8-12 hrs with Xmas to be with his family and friends in another state. And she's not really having a good time there at all. So why bother? I'd rather have a nice Christmas at home with my hubby, sod driving that far only to not have a good time.
But then again, I'm Dutch. I don't feel nor do these family obligations.

I am with you on that. I seen it so many times. Its really bad when your behind schedule. one intersection I avoid and experienced at a intersection one green light one car. crazy long line up.
