It depends on what your after, if you want to keep up with the Jones's, are mostly looking for a status symbol and don't mind the getting price gouged and occasionally hose by the company, go with Apple (no one calls them mac anymore). Unfortunately Windows (while cheaper) isn't much better because they don't seem to fully debug anything before releasing it and then try to make up for it by peppering you with patches and updates. I believe Android is windows base and as of yet isn't capable of running anything massive but can handle most of your gaming and streaming needs.
So basically what you have is a game of Russian Roulette. Just pick one and hope it doesn't blow up in your face, figuratively speaking of course.

LOL - so true, russian roulette, doesn't matter what cell you purchase these days, all price inflated, all function exactly the same, and all will tell you anything just to get your money....

I am confused what he is asking. Android = phone, Mac = computer, Windows = phone or computer.

As for phone I say android. Androids give you better hardware for the same price, you can increase storage with micro sd cards and you have battery options like buying a spare.

For computers I say Windows for a lot of the same reasons, more power for the money, customization (i build my own PC. Original build was in 08 and I upgrade parts as necessary for max settings for gaming) I have a macbook at work and have less issues with my custom PC than with my mac.

I think he meant to say "Android, iOS, or Windows Phone".

I would also vote, emphatically, for android.

All of the best innovation (as it effects the user) these past 2 or 3 years have been happening in the android world. Just watch this years WWDC. Swift was impressive, but nearly all of the 'great new' features of iOS have been available in android for years now.

Also, apple treats their users like children. Unless you jailbreak your phone (which apple once tried to turn into a CRIMINAL act!!), you simply cannot do *anything* on your phone unless apple approves it first. Apple rules over their little walled garden with an iron fist, and intentionally makes it impossible (without jailbreaking) for you to install apps from another source.

Oh, and if you fall in love with an app, like many thousands did with Greg Gardner's Launcher app, you never know if apple might just KILL the app at their own whim. They also did this to perfectly legal and safe bitcoin related apps.

Windows and Mac are two different OS having difference in everything while android is universal platform and can b use in both OS.

I think you would be happier with Android. First off because it came from Linux. But then since becoming more adaptable to Windows it is getting the same problem with susceptibility to viruses. So it acts like a weaker version of Linux. So many free Apps with Android and ones you can pay for, too. You can get too many Apps I have found.

I tried that Windows 8.1 phone which I thought was cool at first but then maybe I am too much into Linux to really understand it. I guess it is about preference and I prefer Android. I would like to check out the Ubuntu phone.
