If you commit murder for any reason then it is still murder.
Its not like you could kill someone and then get your sentence lightened because you killed them for what they represented.

Just another useless law added to the books. Something to make someone think they accomplished something special, or gave them a forum to advertise their cause!

Crimes that are committed against people because of their skin colour alone are atrocious, but to me any and all crimes against others are crimes of hate.

To me, creating the separation just deepens the racial rifts and pulls us farther apart as human beings.

Why can't we just be THE human race?

Because not all humans recognize all people to be human, they kill and maim becuase of a person's color or culture alone and for no other reason, this does look like it came directly from fox news, if ignorance is bliss there a lot of happy racist people!!

I agrre with you on that but 8sg8 comes off to me as a bit of a racist, who really cares about what the law is called as long as crimes against ANYBODY is recognized as wrong!!!

The other day, I saw a news report about a white kid being beaten by a group of black kids (Not Jena 6, another incident). The Police and DA have declared that this incident was not motivated by race, but thus far they have refused to offer any evidence or arguments for their stand. Any "Hate Crime" bill will require that SOMEBODY makes a judgement and decides if the crime was motivated by hate. Any reasonable person can see that almost all crimes are motivated by hate. We don't need thought police, all we need are laws that everyone is expected to follow and just and consistant punishments for violations of those laws.

I don't believe that fox spews
would report suct a trivila

However now that HATE is a crime,I guess that LOVE will be next, because Hate and LOVE are flip sides of the same coin...
