why do woman i assume try to get you off this site to skype, yahoo, etc.? and i dont know how many times ive been asked for money. another thing that gets to me is they say there in my home state of new york and they end up in ghana taking care of the dads estate or in school or some other unbelievable thing, lol does anyone fall for this?

and yes people fall for them if they are unknown to there games , are desperate , or many other reasons i could post <shrug>

Top 10 COMMON SCAMS

Scammer sends link to website to view nude photos or webcam of them where they ask for your credit card and personal info or give you viruses.
Scammer says you won a lottery and need to pay fees to collect winnings, and asks for personal info.
Scammer says they want to use your photo on billboards, needs your personal and bank info for payments to you.
Scammer can't upload photo to site and needs your email address to send you one. If they can email it to you, they can email it to staff to add for them.

PREVENTING SCAM

DON'T ever send (or receive) money to anyone for ANY reason
DON'T give out your email address as it may be gathered for spam mail lists.
DON'T share your personal or family info.
DON'T follow links to other websites. Why do they want you to leave?.. mail is free here.
DON'T email photos of yourself or family that may be used to scam others.
DON'T be misled by perfect photos. Real people don't look like models.
DON'T say we didn't warn you

as he waited a bit to ask for $ ... scammer... and I have notice a lot of foreigners on this site ... if they are real even ... some seem to be ... least those in the forums ...

When I email, I tell them to reverse the charges.

When the scammers portray military it makes it tough for real military or former military to be on a dating site. I know because I was unfairly accused of being one just because I'm former military. And since I joined up a week ago I have already had one scammer trying to get money from me. I just blocked her.

you want to hear my secret... I don't talk to anyone.. that is not from.. where I live... Or a English speaking country.... and if I talk to them.. especially if they're not from where I live.... I remind myself... that this is never going to turn into anything romantic.... and I shoot for being a penpal to them.... better safe than sorry.... but honestly I don't think I've been scammed... but then again I don't answer .. their mail.... no matter how beautiful they are....
