feeling sooo relieved 
I went for the second fitting on a dress I'm wearing for an upcoming event (which you'll all get to see pics in a couple of weeks). there was that oohh shttt moment when while trying it on even with the underthings that go with it, it was too big in areas that are hard to alter without messing up the detailwork on the dress. my cousin, the seamstress, asked what have you been doing? it fit perfectly last week except for being a little too long. the good news is we were able to make it look good without messing up the detail and without having to choose something different. even though I know he would be understanding, I hated the thought of having to tell my date we might have to change the color scheme at the last minute. so relieved the alterations were possible. 
 and so excited to see a pic of you with the king of the mountain..
thank you girlfriend. mwahh. I'll post some pics. hopefully they aren't too big as I don't know how to format them. I don't yet post a pic of the dress because he wants to be surprised on the evening of our event. we call it our prom because neither he nor I attended our prom back in the day.

I am trying kangaroo care with the duckling .. She is nestled in a fluffy sock stuffed down my bra so that she is warm and can hear my heart beat. She sleeps lol :-) second ...when I was coming down the stairs this morning... I tripped and sprained my leg.... thinking I could use a little kangarooing.. . 
Well she slept.. Chirped.. Wriggled about and kept me and the dogs awake. At 4 am I decided I needed to sleep and she seemed to be doing okay.. So I made a nest for her in the airing cupboard .. Woke up this moning and she was dead. .. Sighs.. . I tried :-) . .. . .... .. but giving his outcome.. I think I will pass on the kangarooing..lol .... sorry about the baby duck...

Geez...been almost four days...still not over it...wallowing in my sea of gloom...can still hear the sound of all my dreams crashing into the ground...
 seven years of writing...dropped the disc...crack!!!...no back up to retrieve it... ...dang...starting over...maybe...Oh well...I suppose...now to just think happy thoughts...and carry on...
