op it can mean that ... it can also mean ...I can only have you in my dreams ... or you are telling someone romantically... you will be in my dreams tonight... for i will only dream of you ... dreams have many different meanings for some ... all a matter of how you apply an want it to mean ...

I've had partners in my dreams and they were only that. I honestly wouldn't want that person in real life.

Sorry, OP...personally, I can't play. I believe the surest way to be disappointed with the reality of your future mate is to dream what he/she might be like. The next - and last - love of my life will be accepted and adored "as-is", warts and all. As long as those warts aren't "genital", that is.

I know when I see it. Funny thing is, I don't really have a type anymore. And glad for it. So no preferred hair colour, long or short hair etc etc. But defo a great lover, kisser, taller than me and the rest of the stuff mentioned above.

Most people do dream, but there are people who don't dream, due to medications they have taken or brain injuries. I've had to do a sleep study before, and found out that I don't make it into the dream mode of sleep, because of the medications.

No such thing as a 'dream partner'. My idea of a good partner would be someone who would be my best friend first though. At the same time, someone who can make me happy,angry,laugh,cry,etc..
