I really HOPE that you had a really good day! Comment on it! If not, comment on what WOULD be a really good day...... (Please remember that children and our favorite older folks are WAY too obvious!) EDITED: a bunch of wordy crap.......... Today, historically, or a wish......What is, was, or will be.... a really good day to you?

A trip to my favorite apple orchard located in the Cumberland Homesteads resulted in two things...A selection of my favorite eating and cooking apples and a great conversation with the owners, a husband and wife team in their late 70's who have been running the family business for over four generations!!...They have a huge bulletin board in their store featuring family members from the early 1900's to present and we always talk about the latest additions...Yesterday it was a brand new great granddaughter weighing in a 9 pounds 10 ounces ...They blamed it on the apples!!... ...After that, I took a drive through the Homesteads, our beautiful community that was established in 1934 by the New Deal for distressed farmers, coal miners, and factory workers...Several of the homes are now on the National Register of Historic Places ...Shortly after moving to Tennessee, I purchased and lived in one of these hand built beauties for four glorious years!... Heading back into town, I stopped at the library and ran into some friends from Fairfield Glade Resort that I hadn't seen for months and we decided to continue our conversation over lunch at a "newish" Mexican restaurant...Delicious food, fabulous frozen margaritas and good friends, what could be better?! ...After lunch, I stopped at our "employee owned" IGA...Mama needed Fig Newtons and I needed a half gallon of vanilla bean ice cream to top off hot apple pie!... Yep, it was a very good day!!...

It will be a good day when my housefull of these are unpacked and gone, right now we are walking in a maze. lol
