Joan Rivers passed away today...I admired her political incorrectness and ability to make fun of anyone. Including herself....She was great on Fashion Police... |

That's harsh. She was a sharp lady.
What's also weird is the proceedure she had done. I just had done also last month. One into the stomach (they gave a drug to make you passout) and the other into the throat, done with a liquid numby solution sprayed down the nose. I was fully awake for that. |

It was the exact same procedure?... Complete details about Joan Rivers cause of death could take weeks to determine. The NYC Medical Examiners Office said in a news statement today The death has been reported to us and the Medical Examiners Office is investigating. Rivers a week ago visited Yorkville Endoscopy. CNN claims that Rivers procedure was reportedly a minor elective procedure. But during the procedure, Rivers allegedly stopped breathing. Officials with the New York Fire Department tell news that Rivers suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest. Unconfirmed reports claim that Rivers suffered respiratory arrest while commencing anesthesia for a throat endoscopy. The Dept. of Health tells news that the procedure was reportedly minor. Its a full investigation of the matter. Yorkville Endoscopy states it is approved by the Department of Health and that it is an ambulatory surgical center. It further states Yorkville Endoscopy is a state of the art facility, staffed by highly experienced endoscopists whose mission is to provide safe and compassionate care to patients and their families Yup. It doesn't add up. The throat endoscopy, requires no sedation, and the dr. simply put it up my nose and down my thorat, and told me to say, "ahhhh" and "eeeee". I was fully awake, and was done just as an appointment. Didn't even know he was going to do it before hand. Now the stomach EGD that I had done a few weeks earlier was an outpatient proceedure also. They gave me some drug that really screwed me up, worse than morephine. Told me I couldn't drive myself home and needed a driver. I can't remember what drug it was, although I tried to read the papers after it was done before the nurse whisked them away. They said, you will not remember anything for the 20-25 minutes that this is being done. They put an IV in my hand with saline and added the drug then in a surgical room at a hospital. They were right. I don't remember the proceedure. Even though, apparently .....they said, you are really awake. Gawd that's un-nerving! |

Ms Joan was of the Bob Hope era.
Before comedy went ghetto and gutter. I'm not really a fan of standup comedy. The last time I watched a comedy show was when Jeff Foxworthy came out with his redneck stuff. A couple shows and the novelty wore off. RIP, lady. |

I've had that amnesia drug when they took my virginity via colonoscopy. I did have a nose job done once. The only anesthetic I was under was pint of whiskey. For some reason, over the years, it keeps swelling. Can't figure out why it looks like it belongs to an old fart. |
