from alabama---have a really strong southern accent---we dont call it an accent or a drawl, but a twang...lol you always get the you must be from carolina or georgia...then when i say alabama....they look at me like yup i knew it...lol

simplelady,we're the same way up here in Ark.nothin' is measured in miles here,it's either minutes or hours.i've had people tell me "i love your accent" and others have said "you sound like a hick!"but to me i don't hear an accent.

Though I am from NY, born in Arizona, I have no accent...I don't live in NYC so I don't have that accent.

I'm from the Midwest, born and raised.....but I have lived all over this country and have lost that "midwest accent". Have kind of picked up my own with a combination of all the regions of the country. Every now and then the Chicago twang comes out, followed by the New England (park the car in the yard -heavy on the rolling "r's" - not to out done by the Texas, howdy ya'll! I'm just a mish mash of this great country and loving it
