I suppose you will probably have to hear me speak to gauge what you deem my accent to be, it is hard to describe it to you unless you are familiar with regional accents. I do know that neither of my children have the local accents ( which is quite hilarious)neither their father or I speak with the local accent.I do get teased by Michael on a regular basis........I say old chap etc, etc............

in north carolina alone we have about 5 diffrent area sounds. beach, country, carolina city, mountains, or obx.

the outer banks accent in nc is an elizabethian type talk,, most of the people on the island are decendents of pirates off of blackbeards ship.

this french accent of mine,I can't lose it.Always had problems with (th) and (h) Example; if I say my hair,it comes out my air. Some people say it's cute,I don't think it is.

English they say is not a complete language in it's own right. Some "English" words have been "borrowed " from other languages. The English language is a combination of Germanic, Indian ( East) Saxon, and Latin to name but a few. The word Bicycle is Indian originally..................
