I am also new to this site. I think celibacy is a good thing up to a certain point. I have been celibate for some time now and will remain that way until I find the right girl to be monogamous with.

I do not believe in celibacy until married. You need to try the goods before you buy.

What would happen if after marriage one of the partners took a dislike to sex?

Obviously, one partner would end up cheating. Demands for being celibate these days is used to catch and entrap people.

I hear ya, sister (and I am a true sister because of shared Christian principles) so yes I am celebate for many reasons, mostly my convictions, for health and safety reasons (sounds like a business meeting lol) and it keeps my head clear. Also to be honest, there are no available men in my area which is why I threw my net out here.
I could easily pop down the local and get laid within an hour but what's the point? I've done all the quickies, one-night-stands or the odd friend with benefits in my youth.
Nowadays I'm trying to resist all the hot blooded males everywhere and there are some gorgeous guys on here too but we live and die by our own decisions; and mine is to try and keep myself for the 'one'. I admit it is not easy. Temptation is temptation, after all. I am still a woman with desires. And I'm not even going to get into libido and how our varying levels makes this more difficult.

Being celebate is a life-style choice and I am not judging others on their sexual preferences or life-style as each to his/her own.

Celibacy is not a turn-off for men who practice the Christian faith.
However, such men are in the minority on this website.

I am sorry, I did not mean to burst your bubble young lady. In this day and age that is not the done thing.

It is so hard to find a virgin these days it is unreal. I went to the supermarket and I even asked the lady at the checkout. I asked her, "Do you have any virgins here?". She looked at me and snarled, "No we haven't, but if you go to the frozen food section you will find something there".
