I prefer not to go by church doctrine as that varies from church to church. I prefer to go by scripture and use common sense to guide my understanding, although I have done extensive research into various Christian and other religions as well as ancient texts in the historical record. Bottom line I think it all boils down to believing in God and loving him with our entire being and loving our neighbor as ourselves. I believe we should live in conformity, to the best of our ability, with what conscience guided by God's Word tells us. We should try each day to be a better person than we were yesterday.

The Bible is God's Words. God and His Words are one. You follow God's Words [the Bible], you are following God. Perfect!

Did you know that all the world religions have an earthly helper. Life is simple, love God, Love others and if you step on your neighbours space, apologize.

it was inspired by the holy spirit, people always want to argue and do things there own way. Listen to gods leading, that tug at your heart and knowledge of right and wrong,

when choosing a church, it should be teaching from the bible
so, for me, both |

( LIKE I OFTEN DO) All the bible translations "correct". Things don't change through translations. I don't "follow" any of the translations persay, I follow the word of God in what it says. Just through people's perception and or understanding level would depend on what translation is best for them. If it's better for them to understand the translation with thy's, thou's, ect or the you, your, ect's. |

I know also thaten people can read a chapter of the bible and all may get a very different message. It speaks to them telling them what they need to hear i would guess.

The Bible is a very old book comprised by a bunch of individuals. Church doctrine is somewhat less old, comes in multiple volumes and is also comprised by a bunch of individuals. Both have been revised multiple times (depending on which Bible and which doctrine(s). Both seem equally fallible to me. When confronted with a moral dilemma, do not look to ancient texts or others to tell you what is right. Rather look within yourself. I don't care if the Bible and the Doctrines of a Church tell me to burn heretics, I will not do it because I feel it is wrong. People are given a "moral compass" for good reasons.
