What happens to your Facebook after you die?

its still there.
my friend died on new years. a few days ago I ran into an acquaintance we had in common. something came up about my friend's passing. we wanted to see a pic of her daughter and her Facebook page and memories are still there. |

Actually you need a court order to remove you digital footprint from email, FB, Twitter and the likes. And yes I know that from recent experience. It is quite overwhelming because on the one hand you would like to have the memories, on the other it is painful to look at it and see the postings of friends who find out a person died.

Perhaps it is a good thing they stay. In hundreds of years time people can look back and see what their relatives were doing, and no doubt at sometime in the future historians will find it all very interesting.

My cousin that passed away last year, her Facebook page is still there. Actually family post on it from time to time with poems or saying how much they miss her, more like a memorial......

hehe I love it too much I hope the footprint stays. It's about the only way I get to communicate with the rugrat these days.
